    microchip burned of motherboard IPISB-AB

Hi everybody, I have a problem with an All-in-one computer motherboard yesterday I opened my Pavilion 20 and found something, some simple but sad, a single piece was burned I think due to a overcharged.
The main problem to me is the microchip is half burned and only have the legend "44D7A" besides the schematic o diagram is not on web, I searched the motherboard model IPISB-AB and only founded some pictures.
    Some could help me whith!?

Judging by the apparent pinout, and the proximity to the power input, i'm willing to bet it's some P-channel MOSFET.

The "44D7A" is more likely "4407A", which would indicate it's one of these:

Before replacing it though, it would be best to try to track down WHY it failed - just replacing it might blow something (more), "downstream".

After you remove it, check for shorts on both sides.

Dont forget to check your power adapter too if its faulty or supplying over voltage or its short to burn the chip. As khron666 said, check all other possibilities before changing the chip to test.

                  MSI GE62VR, MS-16JB burned motherboard
                  by myth77
I received this laptop, no history and the motherboard was in short circuit on main power rail. Then i noticed that motherboard literaly burned in one part...near the capacitors PC85 and PC86...there were almost 5 mm burned part of the board
That part and capacitors are on PWR_SRC_FBVDDQ rail...and that is main rail powering FBVDDQ mosfets. It was shorted to gnd. Then i cleaned everything, cut all that was burned and with microscope inspection couldnt find any part touching or burned. The resistence is now only 58 ohms relative to GND and that is not good for main power rail. Then...

Asus ROG Strix Scar G533qm with a G733qm Motherboard, can I modify the Bios to accept G533 Bios
                  by glovecaps
                  Hello,

I have a Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 (G533QM) that had a dead motherboard (Graphics card dead) and after trying to fix the motherboard with no success, I bit the bullet on a sale for a new motherboard. I ordered a motherboard for the 15 inch model which is the one that I have, and when the motherboard arrived it wasn't for a little while that I saw it was from the 17 inch model.

My question is, can I update the Bios on this G733 motherboard to a G533 Bios.

The reason for wanting to do this is that the keyboard isn't working as it should, and I think this...

Lenovo P50 dead with burned motherboard
                  by Andreasbest
                  Hello.
I received a P50 in very good shape that is dead and smelled burned board when on power supply.
I strip it and found a heavily burned area, there should be some cap but now are smoke.
Not sure where the one copper trace stops and starts the next, they seem mixed probably due to heat, this is my main problem as i'm not sure where should i solder what, so any help is appreciated.
                  Schematics & boardview here

Pictures os the affected area attached below.
Not sure if it can be saved but i'll give it a try.
                  Thank you in advance!...

                  HP Envy 17-3290NR 3D Blank Screen - motherboard Louis V1.1 6050A2489901

Subject is a blank screen issue in HP Envy 17-3290NR 3D version laptop with motherboard Louis V1.1 6050A2489901 MB-A02. Production year is 2012. This one is a 2nd hand motherboard which I could use it for few months only. Suddenly no output from the internal display and also no signal from HDMI port then Windows out of order after few boots.

Caps lock working normally and no HP's caps-lock warning blinks. Making a hard reset and replacing the RAM sticks or using different slots didn't help.

Fans are spinning. Blindly could install windows11 and got the device manager...

                  ASUS P5GC-MX motherboard recap
                  by momaka
Here’s another motherboard that needed a full recap: an ASUS P5GC-MX.
This one was gifted to me some years ago by user Pentium 4, along with a few other goodies. It actually came in working order with no bulging or leaking caps. However, I noted there were United Chemicon KZG caps everywhere on the motherboard. The CPU VRM output (CPU V_core) was the only exception: it had only 2x KZG. The rest was 6x UCC TMV 4V 680 uF caps… which aren’t any good news either.

So here is what the motherboard looked like with its original caps:
