    Soyo SY-7VEM

I have a Soyo SY-7VEM board and so far only 3 caps have busted. I heard from the Soyo website and it ays that they might replace it for free. My only question is that, due to the age of the board, will they replace it? Their support number is a long-distance number, and their representative was not in all week. Any suggestions?

I suggest you replace with good capacitors by yourself, it is beause there is no guarantee Soyo will recap with good capacitors for you.

Besides, i expect there is not 3 caps to be replaced only. If possible, take a photo of your mothbaord and upload here, some members will give you some suggestions.

Agreed! Soyo technicians would at best replace the effected capacitors on that motherboard (with an unknown as yet type/brand), charging you the shipping to & from their hardware support centre into the bargain

Were you hoping for a brand new board? best bet is locate (from the forum where to buy FAQ) some appropriate Low ESR capacitors and do it yourself, certainly way cheaper than international shipping (not to mention transit delays)

BTW if you mention what part of the globe you're in, a member in that particular region may be able to offer additional helpful information
