Abit BF6 - only starts once

    Abit BF6 - only starts once

    So here is this BF6 with a pretty funny behavoiur:
    If I start it just after plugging in the PSU, it work all OK. Soft reset goes as well. But as I drive it down, and want to start it again, it doesn't make any sound.
    I have to detach the PSU, wait a few mins and I can start then again.
    The Caps look allright, althought they are Jackcons.
    Is this problem typical for bad caps? If not, what else can be wrong?

      can be badcaps in the psu also...

          Yes, 100% correct remote diagnostics.
          PSU was wrong.

          All in all, every PC problem has 2 roots:
          1) Bill Gates
          2) Bad caps

              I find them all the time at work, I have a dead BF6 in my spare parts pile, one of the developers on the other side of me has a dieing BF6 Linux box... I told the IT guy to get me the caps and I'd fix it during my coffee break...
              Ya'll think us folk from the country's real funny-like, dontcha?

                  I have a really weird problem, this motherboard was working normally, someday it just started and all fans were running but didn't want to post, tried resetting bios, checking CPU and it was getting warm tried external gpu, flashed bios with programmer, but same problem.
                  Next day after several attempts the board goes into protection mode, no more staying on, I turn on the PSU fans starts directly turning, it used to not start until I press the pwr button, now it starts directly and fans spins, and shuts off after 3 seconds sometimes less, then won't start again unless I unplug the PSU and...

                  Hi all

                  Hope this is in the correct place.

                  I'm planning on recapping both motherboards. I actually already ordered recplament caps for them, where I will be changing out most for poly's.
                  Could use some double checking to see if I'm not doing something stupid .

                  Pictures of the boards are attached.
                  What I will be replacing with what : (planned)

                  I have a Lenovo E15 Gen.3, motherboard NM-D481 with a defective USB-C port. The device starts with battery. When connected to the USB-C power supply, it does not start or charge. 20V is present at the input of the UT5 (High voltage USB PD power switch), 0V at the output
                  UT5 pin 3 (SNK_PS_EN) =0V
                  RPT3 Pin1+2 LDO 3V3 present
                  I suspect that the UT2 USB-C power controller is defective because the UT5 is only controlled by the UT2. However, the UT2 supplies on pin 33 (+LDO_3V3) which makes me wonder if it is defective after all. Unfortunately I don't have it here to test it.

                  Dell E6420 XFR Rugged starts to boot but after 3 secs shuts down.

                  Hi, I bought 6420 XFR that tries to boot but shuts down after about 3 seconds, CPU gets warm, fan starts.
                  So far I have tested all rails wich are good, BIOS flashed with CH341, 3.3,5, main rail present. multiple ram sticks tested. Sometimes it might stay on for longer like 4-5 seconds but not always, theres no picture whatsoever. Also on some rare occasions the caps lock flashes 1 time by itself.
                  NOTE: I am using bench power supply not dell charger with ID pin and NO battery present, kinda doubtful this would cause this issue.
                  Any help is welcome. Thanks !
