I was wondering if anyone can identify the blue caps with the orange stripes on this EVGA graphics card?

I can assure you they aren't MBZ or MCZ. Without some upclose pics, its difficult to tell.<--- Badcaps.net Founder

Re: Evga Nvidia 7600gs Agp
yes evga is using exclusively polymer caps on their stuff. problem is that everyone is making polymers these days even the previously known crap brands. evga is known to use some of the "crap" last time i looked anyway.
i dont think those silver/blue are chemicon cos they dont look like this
there appears to be an oscon though.
i dont think the others are skywell either. should people worry about that, well we are yet to see regular failure of taiwan polymer. but it should be considered in comparison with other products especially on price. many oscon and chemicon would be added value on a card. but anyway when compared to crap lytics it would be nicer to have polymer even from the crap brands.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

i was thinking that alsoOriginally posted by Fatal0ELook kinda like the lelon polymers on jetway boardsthis cap appears to have something like the lelon logo on it. evga used lelon before on other products.
still not to worry, no fail reports yetAttached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

by piernovJust archiving everything related to bumpgate since most stuff has disappeared from Google. Maybe people will finally take the time to read some of it and stop shouting "reflow gpu" at every occasion but rather try to understand what the real issue is…
Interesting parts about the failure analysis are "Why Nvidia's chips are defective" and "Why Nvidia's duff chips are due to shoddy engineering"
May complete this post at a later date with more details.
Basically issue is a combination of thermal dissipation of the chip with hotspot,... -
