I purchased a dead iMac G5 17. The iMac powered up, but there was no video on the screen. I replaced the bulged caps on the logic board. I'm only getting the first and second green LED light on the logic board. The monitor only show a grey screen now. No beep or apple image during start up.
Should all the other caps(non bulged) be replaced?

 . I did have to scrap away some of the logic board green coating, as I did burn one of the pad for a cap

. Everything is connected correctly, I don't see any caps or resistors that are damaged. I even swapped the display from another iMac 4k 2019 model to test it, and that display won't work either.

But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
