    Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 - faulty

Here is a old mobo, Asrock 939Dual-SATA2. Found it due to a friend of mine attic's cleaning, together with 7950 GX2 video card (which is working fine).
The problem is the main board, is not working. I removed everything from it preparing to throw it away (before I will do some soldering lessons on it .
Before I start, there is any way to fix it? It is nice mobo, it has AGP slot as well. I tried it to see if works, but when I plug it, not the power button, the fan of PSU & CPU spins a few seconds and stops. When I turn the power button on, the fan of cpu starts ok, and after a few seconds I here continuously bips, I cannot number them because the bips never stops.
It also has burn smell on it. The board looks perfect. Checked every piece, (visually), and no signs of anything that could be the cause of the smell. (the smell of burn it was before the motherboard tested)
The caps, most of them are OST 6.3V 1000UF, 3300uF and 1200uf KZE. All of them looks OK.
    Could be the caps?

    Bin or not?

When you see OST then yes, it could be the caps.

Request: Full BIOS dump for ASRock Z790-CX (DDR5)
      by gabrieljma1
      Hello everyone,

I’m looking for a full raw 16 MB BIOS dump for an ASRock Z790-CX (DDR5) motherboard.

The board powers on (fans spin, RGB lights on, RAM LEDs active), but there is no display output and the VGA and BOOT LEDs stay lit.
I’m using an Intel i9-14900KF CPU (14th gen), and it seems the BIOS version on my board doesn’t support it yet. I tried to flash the official ASRock BIOS file (renamed .ROM → .BIN) directly using my RT809H programmer, but it didn’t work — monitor stays on but with black screen, so I believe the ASRock update file is not a complete...

ASRock N100M, no picture no boot, but semi-alive
      by Exim
      Hi guys,
I managed to semi-kill an ASRock N100M board after updating Bios from 1.10 to 2.01. It's a zombie now, dead, but not dead.

      ASRock N100M special features:
      - CPU soldered to board, small Intel 12th gen
      - iGPU
      - four POST LEDs

Problem after updating Bios to 2.01 using the in-Bios update tool: no picture, no boot.
I am not sure anymore if it booted at least once successfully after updating the bios to 2.01, maybe not, I can't remember. I think it did not.

      Symptoms:
      - no picture/signal on any of the display connectors,...

What IC does AsRock usually use to make the PWM signals for GPU fans ?
      by MasterCap
I have an AsRock Taichi 7900xtx, and the minimum fan speed is way too high at 1000rpm, and thats with it's Quiet BIOS switch on, and me setting the fan profile as low as it goes, while on.

Now 1 thing I could do is just make some circuit to put in between the fan the the GPU, and leave the fan on all the time, but anytime the GPU is sending the PWM for min speed, I'll just send something lower and quieter.

But does anyone know what how AsRock usually sends the PWM to the fans on GPUs and mobo's? Is it from the MCU that's often near the 12V inputs and fan jack ? Or is...

HUAWEI Matebook D15 Bom-WDQ9 - faulty onboard RAM
      by JarzabekPZ
I have a Huawei Matebook D15, MB DAH98PMBAB0 REV. B with faulty onboard RAM. Laptop starts but when loading Windows instantly gets BSOD's. Passmark Memtest shows multpile faults on test 11. Memory is itentified as 2 modules Samsung M471A5244CB0-CWE, which are available as standard so-dimm. Is it possible to desolder memory from such module and solder it on the MB? How to identyfiy which one on the MB is faulty?

BIOS .bin file for ASRock B450M Steel Legend
      by nolaryie
Hi, I’m looking for a clean, working BIOS .bin dump (16MB) for the ASRock B450M Steel Legend motherboard.

I’ve already tried flashing the official ASRock ROM file via CH341A, but it won’t post — I believe the capsule format is incompatible.

Any BIOS version that supports Ryzen 5 2600 is fine (e.g., P2.30–P3.60).

If anyone has a working board and can dump the BIOS using CH341A or flashrom, I would really appreciate your help.

      Thank you!
