My daughters e-machine finally quit. Runs for short period, then shuts off. This Imperial board has 8mm 6.3v 1500mf caps marked TMS. the nine caps involved in voltage regulator ckts near the heat sinks had bulged and leaked . Machine is about 4 yrs old and runs constantly. Replacing of these is in progress.

Re: E-Machines T1742/Imperial GL_VE
Actually newer emachines are not crap, they use off the shelf parts, so if you don't like the power supply in your emachine you can pick up one from a vendor and slap it in.Ya'll think us folk from the country's real funny-like, dontcha?

The Athlon XP eMachines PC that someone brought in for me to remove malware from is MSI.
Even the MOSFETs were heatsinked! Dunno about the cap manufacturer, but they appeared to be fine.Last edited by RJARRRPCGP; 03-17-2006, 09:15 PM.ASRock B550 PG Velocita

by grimacelordHello,
I know that this is probably a long shot, but I figured if anyone could find this BIOS, it would be you guys.
I am working on an (old) eMachines T6520 desktop PC that might have a corrupt BIOS.
Model:
eMachines T6520
Motherboard markings:

The computer does power on, CPU fan spins, but does not POST. No display.
Troubleshooting steps so far:
Replaced the CMOS battery (which was in need of replacing)
Re-seating...-

by dmill89I decided to see what kind of "sleeper" build I could do on the Emachines T3104 from cheep/free thread with the "random junk" I had laying around (with the exception of a SATA to IDE adaptor I bought to make the original Emachines optical drive to work).
Before:
Specs:
Motherboard: FIC K8M-800M
CPU: AMD Sempron 3100+
RAM: 512MB DDR-400 (2x256MB)
GPU: Integrated VIA Unichrome Pro
PSU: HiPro HP-P3527F3 300W
HDD: None/removed (case sticker indicates it originally had a 100GB IDE HDD)
ODD: Lite-On DVD-ROM/CD-RW...-

by G0RITGood evening I am working on a Reebok oneGT40s treadmill. It had a flashing display which the replacement of D3 rectified. However the lift motor now runs when the mains is turned on and does not stop. If I then select start so the tread motor runs and disconnect the up lead to the lift motor it stops. If I then reconnect the lead the lift motor works as it should with the controls. It will continue to work correctly until the mains is turned off and on again, or the safety device is removed and replaced. It then runs again and only by disconnecting and reconnecting the up lead will it operate...
