Oh. It was supposed to be "no sign". I never met these damaged inside as everybody is talking about, all bad KZGs I've seen so far were bulged.
But why to wait for the good looking ones to bulge too, right. Especially when U have Panasonics FL from eBay for few cents a pieceLess jewellery, more gold into electrotech industry!Half of the computer problems is caused by bad contacts

Re: Asus m2n61-ax doesn't boot, worthy of fixing?
I changed all the the KZG caps from 1800 uf to 1000 uf on this M2N61 and it still has the same issue. The cpu fan and the chassis fan turn on, the front power button lights up but I still get no output to the monitor or Lan when I plug into it.
Could this be a power supply issue? I have a known good supply out of another unit that I was able to plug into the MB's 22 pin connector and cpu's 4 pin connector and got the same results. Or is this just a bad motherboard with some other issues?Comment

Re: Asus m2n61-ax doesn't boot, worthy of fixing?
According to wikipedia, your motherboard...
"uses nVidia GeForce 6150 integrated graphics with the nForce 430i chipset,"
If you replaced the caps and it still doesn't work, the nVidia chipset probably failed. It's a very common problem.Comment

It can't be replaced without specialized equipment. Not worth fixing IMO.Originally posted by PeteS in CARemember that by the time consequences of a short-sighted decision are experienced, the idiot who made the bad decision may have already been promoted or moved on to a better job at another company.Comment

You can try reflowing with a heat gun. I was able to revive a MSI board with a Nvidia chipset. See

Reflwo is the solution, only problem is I don't believe you can do it at home the way that it will work for at least another year.Less jewellery, more gold into electrotech industry!Half of the computer problems is caused by bad contacts

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.
I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...-

Board model: G531GT REV. 1.5
Issue: Laptop was password protected with admin password. I extracted the Bios with the CH341A and ASprogrammer. I Initially saved the backup. I then scoured the internet for a rom to flash to the chip. I found a file and flashed it. I then read it back to verify and mistakenly over wrote my backup of the original Bios.
I assembled and tested anyway. The bios worked, I was able...-

by jrodefeldI would like to see if anyone could help me salvage a very expensive laptop that is no longer working.
The model: Asus Zenbook Pro Duo UX582L
I have used this laptop lightly since I purchased it new in 2022. I have always taken precautions to take care of it the best I could, and have never done anything that would risk causing damage to it or shorten it's life.
However, around six months ago, the laptop stopped working on battery power. It continued to work fine when plugged in, but as soon as power was disconnected,...-
