FZ= lytics that look like polys
- Correct - And it seems they did it on purpose.
There are Blue marked Sacon FZ that look like UCC Poly
There are also Black marked Sacon FZ that look like Nichicon Poly.
Note: We need to say "Sacon FZ" in the future to avoid confusion.
[As opposed to just "FZ".]
- Though I haven't seen any 'in the wild', there are other brands with an FZ series
Notes to the newbies:
Both Lytics and Polys can come with or without plastic sleeves.
That is just the marking method.
Says nothing about the kind of cap they are.

It used to be that only Lytics had vents. [Except for Fujitsu Polys.]
That isn't true anymore.
- I'm seeing Polys with vents from several manufacturers now.
My guess is they are using one kind of can for both to reduce manufacturing costs.

So I finished recapping this board using Nichicon HN (new production).
Board works fine -BUT- the CPU fan constantly speeds up and slows down. Sounds like a wind blowing on a winter night. I configured cool n quiet and smart fan in the BIOS. Temps are 40C. Any idea how to get this to run at a constant speed?? The fan idle speed was set to 30C, I upped it to 40c but that had no effect.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

I have been having issues with this garage door opener for a while first the range of the remote was a lot less and sometimes it would start to go down and stop for no reason that I could find and would every once in awhile to start with then it started going more frequently until last Saturday when I opened the garage door it refused to close so I cranked up force all the way maximum limit this did not work also the sensor on one side that has a green and red lights that are supposed to be on when the door is open and there are no obstacles in the way on the original board the only light that...

Hi There,
This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.
After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.
