I have repaired a pap2 but it is a different revision than yours. https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=29433

Mine had a bad transistor that I found by plugging the board in and touching components one at a time till I found one that was hot to the touch. Using an ohm meter I confirmed the failed component. See my thread for the readings.

hi there, i apparicate for your reply.

do you think my board having same issue, or on my board a CHIP which hold software having poor soldaring, i even don't know where is the CHIP on this Board & where is Q156 located.

And you board having issue about "Loude Static", but my board having diffrent issue, i think my board having issue of loading software while rebooting PAP2T, so it is showing 1 Red & 1Green Light.

      Thanks

hi guys, sorry for the delay, because i order "Soldaring Rework station smd 898D",

So i resolder the above as shown in Post#4, still I am having same light are ON. As well as I did HOTAIR Flow over the Chip also, still same 1 red & i green light ON.

So i like to know "How to check which component is Damage on the Board",

Can any body let me know the procedure to check Component on the Board, then i will check one by one.

          Thanks

Check U11 and U12 to see if they are good. If you are not sure how to check them, then tell us what numbers/letters are written on them?

They are most likely voltage regulators ... transistors are marked with a 'Q'; integrated circuits with 'IC' or 'U'.

Re: My ATA PAP2T-NA Adapter Bricked, I want to fix

hi there, please let me know, by using multimeter RED Wire led & BLACK Wire led where i have to touch on U11 & U12 pins.
And on which reading I have to adjust my Multimeter Pointer for example 2000K etc. I am having exactly same this Multimeter.

                I already saw U11 & U12 on my Board.

Please how to check this is good or Bad, then i will check and post my result.

                Thanks

Ok, that is what I thought. Yes I can tell you where to measure them, but you have to tell us what the part numbers are on U11 and U12 ... the pictures aren't good enough to see the part numbers.

Re: My ATA PAP2T-NA Adapter Bricked, I want to fix

hi there, here it is the part numbers

                    U11 -- AMC1117, F0823J
                    U12 -- AMC1117, F0823J

both of them having same part numbers, i look very carefull, there is no mistake in part numbers, i use a lense which is use to fix WATCHES, so i put board close to my eyes and i read with lenses clearly.

When I order SMD REWORK STATION i order this Glasses also, so i have all the instruments to check the BAD parts.

                    Thanks

sorry to read you purchased a 898D rework station,we had the hot air gun transistor fail and put power on to the element (Failed closed) causing the hot air gun to overheat and melt this is the video we made after the event.

Yes yes, patience! I didn't get home 'till late last night, and I was tired... sooo, yeah.

Ok, this is the pinout for the AMC1117's
                          http://www.seekic.com/uploadfile/ic-...5991839498.jpg

Find a spot that is connected to ground on the PCB and connect your black probe to there, then measure the voltage at the input and output pins of both regulators. Report back your readings!

Just a note ... the pin in that image which is marked 'ADJ/GND' .... don't use it as a ground point! It is likely not connected to ground, instead it is probably connected to a resistor divider to set the output voltage!

Please make me correct in the pictures

Picture 1 & 2 where i mark, that is same pin, can i use that for GROUND purpose.

                            Picture 3 & 4 where i mark, can i assume that is Pin2 (V out) & Pin3 (V in).

                            Thanks

on my Multimeter, where i have to Adjust in VDC, please let me know. Can i Adjust 20V DC.

                                UPDATE :

I Power ON PAP2T then i touch Black Probe to GROUND & Red Probe to Pin 2 & 3 on both IC's, there is no reading shows. it shows just 0.00.

Well that 'ground' point you marked may not be ground. Try measuring the voltage with the black probe on the negative of one of the electrolytic capacitors.

I don't know which one is the Electrolyte Capacitors. So i use the one which you mark for GROUND on IC that is PIN1 then i got readings below

                                    U11 -- Pin2 : 0.76, Pin3 : 1.66,
                                    U12 -- Pin2 : 0.63, Pin3 : 1.53,

The electrolytic capacitors are the cylindrical things with a shiny metal top. They have a strip on one side, that is the negative side. The pin on the bottom which is closer to the stripe is the negative pin.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                                          • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                                          • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
