    BenQ FP71E+

    Hei Remember I wrote once:
    --------
    I have a huge problem. I have a BenQ FP71E LCD monitor.
    I will describe a little.

It has transparent (almost) power button and when I push it, the led behind it turns blue, than the display shows the title BenQ and after that he notices that he got no signal and goes to sleep, after that the led behind power button turns orange.

So it would be very nice if it would be like that right now too. but!
    here is the problem:

When I push my power button the led turns blue as it should do, but after 2 seconds it just turns off, without display monitoring big BenQ title, and without the led turning orange. no life except the start when it turns blue on 2 seconds.

So there is one huge cap on power board. I noticed that it is totally dead, so I replaced it with new one. but the problem have not gone.
Right now i don't know what to do...

    Please help!!!
    --------

And ok. I managed to get it to work, by replacing all C5707 and FU9024N tranzistors. I was so happy, but than after a while, whell it was 5 days, i was watching movie and the monitor started to get darker and darker untik the picture just disapered, and again, I can't turn it on. the same problem as i had. So what can be wrong?! what could cause the tranzistors to die?!
    can you help?!

So you told me to post the pictures, and so I did, now.
I hope I did it correct.

Did you resolder all the transformer joints after you replaced all the components? It has been suggested that Benqs are really bad for poor transfomer solder joints.

Just so you understand, did you retouch up the solder or reflow the solder at the transformers (which are those yellow square things) at locations T801, T802, T803, and T804?

You normally retouch or reflow on the back side.

It takes a few days for heat to flex the board enough times to activate the bad joint.

Touch and reflow isn't good enough. Add a bit of fresh solder. The extra metal is good and the extra flux cleans the existing solder. That's still poor quality work though. Good quality work is to remove all existing solder and resolder with new.

Good point. I will keep this in mind for myself for future use.

BenQ 3501R turns off after 1-2 seconds

The capacitor on the board was slightly bulged at the top so I replaced. Unfortunately the cap I bought on eBay was much thinner than the original, even though the spec was the same (4.7uf 100v). The problem persists. Would the thickness of the cap actually make a difference - is it worth trying to find the correct one?

MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable
                    by Stephen
MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable to reset the computer. I disconnect the battery fully and then reconnect it and it won't turn back on. After letting it sit for a day I plug the battery back up, and the MagSafe 3 cable and it powers on and stays ons, once I plug in a USB C cable into the port closes to the MagSafe port it turns off and the Amber light turns off and won't turn on. No water damage, nothing, I want to do a DFU restore to wipe the computer since the customer stated they did an update and ever since it just decided to not work...

LG L192WS-BN backlight turns off after 1 second
                    by www
I am testing an old LG L192WS-BN monitor I have that gives an image, but has a backlight issue. When you turn it on the backlight turns on 1 second and it turns off, turns on again, 1 second and it turns off and stays off. Using a flashlight I can see there's still an image.

I replaced a bulged cap on the main board, but made no difference. I also got another exact same model monitor that has a broken ccfl (the connector got ripped from the panel and the main screen connector is also broken so I can't use this panel to test), tried using the main board from this one, same issue....

Anker SoundCore 2 Bluetooth Speaker Turns Off After a Few Seconds (Possibly Firmware Issue?)
                    by zklgfs
                    Hi,

I have an Anker SoundCore 2 (A3105) that I saved from the trash (well, I guess there's a reason why it was supposed to go into the trash...). The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music...
