    Sceptre U27 Backlight

Is it possible to replace individual LED diodes for the backlights? I cannot find the strips anywhere. I have 2 of them and both LEDs went out in the same area, then some LEDs in another area get so hot it causes the panel to go dark until i shut it off for about 20 mins.

I tested the voltage in my second unit that has few bad LEDs.
26.4V at board to LED strip
    114 diodes in the strip
    Diode is 4.1mm (L) x 1.5mm (W)

The sticker on the back says model z27, the box says u27 and a third sticker shows u278w-4000r and then theres another sticker on the power/video board that shows u275w-4000r.

    Thanks for any help

Yes you can replace individual LEDs, I don't see any 4115 but I do see 4014 on Aliexpress.
You need to measure without it connected, it won't be 26v powering 100+ LEDs.

      Hi @m4a2t0t , I know it's been a long time, but I have a very similar problem.
I have two Sceptre U278W-4000R monitors. Recently the backlight of one started to fail. I opened it and saw that a few of the LEDs in the backlight strip were not lighting up.

My hope was to find a replacement online, however I have been unable to find any equivalent backlight LED strip, so now I am hoping to test the LEDs one by one and replace those that prove to not be working.

My question is, how did you end up fixing your problem? Did you find any equivalent LEDs? Even better, did you or do you know where I could find a new/refurbished LED strip? Looking around this might be the most similar I was able to find

Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated!
      Thanks!

        Re: Sceptre U27 Backlight

You can change individual LEDs but if the replacement LEDs have different defusing lens on the LEDs you might notice it when you put the monitor back together

For best results I would highly recommend that you replace all of them

I tested each LED today and I think there are only 4 burned LEDs in the whole strip, idk, chaning all of them since a little overkill to be honest, hopefully the difference will not be too big, I use the monitors for working so tiny differences are not a huge deal.

Also, replacing all of them could lean to other problems due to more/less power consumption

I also wonder+ what those other components in the strip are. You can see one of them near the left side on the last picture uploaded by OP. I thought they were capacitors but I am not so sure, ferrites? Not even sure how they are connected electrically either, I don't really see terminals on them, they look like just a tiny peace of metal soldered on a track connected to the positive terminal...

Sceptre X505BV - Logo appears for 1 sec then backlight shuts off, LEDs tested good
            by events.b
Hello, this TV currently has me stumped. As the title states, when I power on the unit, the backlight comes on for 1 second then shuts off. The TV is still on, and I can see the video if I shine a flashlight on the screen.

Using the LED backlight tester I was able to confirm all LEDs are illuminating and seem to be working correctly when independently powered by this tester, so that leads me to believe there is something wrong with the power supply board.

Perhaps the great minds here can help me figure it out, as I don't see any thing obviously wrong with it. The...

this tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even...

            Sceptre 48" TV backlight LED`s
            by spirittoo
Trying to fix a backlight problem with a Sceptre 48" TV.

I found replacement strips with the same part number as the strips in the Sceptre, but the new backlight strips have 5 leds per strip and the ones in the tv has 6.

So I decided to replace the leds instead. I found 3 bad ones. I had no problem removing the bad ones with a heat gun, they came right out. However the leds on the replacement strip would not come out with heat. I use my solder iron as well, they will not come off.

Anyone know how I can remove those leds without damaging them?

ASUS ROG Strix G713QR - Keyboard, backlight and side LEDs don't work
            by hollox123
Hello, I have an "ASUS ROG Strix G713QR" laptop, and for approx. 3 months I have the following problems:

            1. Laptop keyboard doesn't work
            2. The backlight on the laptop keyboard doesn't work
            3. The x2 side LEDs (red) on the laptop don't work

The power button works, the touchpad works, and all the USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc. ports work.

I already tried to reinstall all the drivers and reinstall Windows. So I don't know what to try anymore that is software-related.

But I am strongly aiming that it is somehow a BIOS-related problem,...

Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U - Replaced Backlight LEDs but now no image/display or garbled
            by signal.quest
I have a Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U. The TV was given to me as an attempt to fix or throw out. I replaced the Backlight LEDs and now the screen lights up, but there is no image/display. If I play with the up/down buttons I can get the display to change from black to garbled. I can't get sound from HDMI but not sure of what input is selected. I have no remote control. When I connect a laptop to the HDMI ports it recognizes a Panasonic TV for display and sound output but I can't see or hear anything through the TV. This makes me think the mainboard is OK, but not sure if mainboard can...
