I have four HP L1740 monitors that have failed recently. Each has the same problem. Powers up normally, displays (windows desktop) for a couple of seconds and then goes black. I have diassembled three of monitors all three inverter/power boards have blown caps. I am going to order the following caps from mouser.com:
470 uf 50V, 140-ESRL50V470-RC (XICON)
1000 uf 50V, 661-EKY500ELL102MM2 (UNITED CHEMICON).
2200 uf 25V, 647-UPW1E222MHD3 (NICHICON)
1000uf 16V, 647-UPJQC102MPD (NICHICON)
1000uf 25V, 647-UPM1E102MHD (NICHICON)
The inverter/power board p/n is T50P062.00 Rev:2 I have been trying to find any information on these boards, assembly, schematics, etc. Also this is my first attempt at repairing these monitors. If I can repair them, 2 of the 4 monitors are mine to keep. The other two are for company spares.
Hope I am on the right track in replacing these blown caps.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.
First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Hi There,
This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.
After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.
