Hello community,
This monitor turns on and off very quickly upon connecting the AC adapter (tried two, tested 19v).
I can see the LG logo on the screen for a split second, then turns off and on constantly in less than 1 second intervals. There's a high pitch noise while the stand by light/screen is on.
I looked at the capacitors, only removed the big one

100V
Measured it, it was fine. Anyway replaced it with a new one, and no luck.
Just to test, unplugged the CCFL. Plugged the AC adapter. It stays on, the high pitched noise remains (some IC? coil?) and I can turn it off manually.
Any help will be greatly appreacciated!

But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
