Re: HP w2007 PTB-1773 - Where to start?

      Update,
I've changed C826, C829 (1uF) and C807 (82uF to 100uF like an repairer suggest me).... at last I've change every capacitor except the 3 big in the middle (70uF 35v).
      No results, dead.

I desolder one leg of every resistence on the board and test them, all have good values, some not really perfect but near.
I will like to test even the Tea1530, if I need an Oscilloscope I'm happy because I have one from long time and never know how to use it (philips pm3234).

I don't understand a thing, I have about 310volt that arrive at the transformer T802 at the 5 pins (with the optocoupler and 2 caps), on the other side there is no current at all, it's broken? or how it works?

Here I post some photos I made to the chips on the bottom .....hope it help
The 4th photo like you see there is no writes on transistor, seems melted? (it seems the same trasistor of photo 3)

Re: HP w2007 PTB-1773 - Where to start?

            Hi,

Just in case somebody stumbles accross this thread just as I did, I have a Iiyama ProLite B2712HDS, purchased in 2011, just stopped working, would not turn on, not even power light.
It has a very similar power supply board (also type e59670), resistors R804 (15k, 5%), R803 (0.51Ohm, 1W) had burned, I only managed to figure out their values by looking at the pictures in this thread.
The big power mosfet AP2761I-A Q803 had blown and controller EA1530A I801 which had it's drain connected to the blown resistors was also dead.

After replacing the blown parts the monitor works again.

I could not find any bad caps, the 1u 50v caps mentioned in this thread do not exist on this version of the psu board. I checked the caps not just visually but also with an ESR meter, even the ones sitting close to heatsinks are fine - besides they are not connected to the damaged components anyway. So maybe I've failed to find the origin of the problem and only cured the symtoms.

hope this may be of help to somebody,
            kind regards,
            Franz

No caps seem bulged and the fuse shows continuity still.

              Any ideas?

It looks like a similar model if not the exact same PTB-1773 is also found in HP W1907 monitors? Anyone have success in fixing these? If so, what are common problems?
I have an HP W1907. Black Screen, nothing happens. High DC voltage at big Condensor is OK, No 5 Volt. No sign of starting. Nothing unususal with optical check, no burned or blasted parts.
              100kOhm OK,
I exchanged most of the most capacitors (82uF I could not get) > No success.
So I looked around for a PTB-1773 on the net and found 1 shop selling it for around 25 $ (new)

              then go direct to

You can check with the piture if it is exactly what you are looking for.

              Hope that is helping somebody.

                HP w1907 2007.01.15 ILP1-027 troubleshooting
                by jlum1951
I've been struggling to find a schematic for a pesky HP w1907 monitor. Sometimes it flickers, sometimes it reverts to a 2 seconds to black. I have opened it up more times than I care to remember, reflowed solder, or switched lamps around and it magically may seem fine, then I put it back together and it will misbehave again. Some have replaced lamps but this can all the lamps suddenly go bad?

The power board marked as 2007.01.15 ILP1-027. It seems there are schematics for the later versions but they seem to be totally different. One thing I want to bring to the attention of this...

Samsung UE49MU6105K - boot loop, horizontal lines
                by blaster_
Less than a year out of warranty, samsung UE49MU6105K craps out, they've got this designed obsolescence down to an exact science of self destruct when out of warranty...

Screen started to show horizontal lines and ghosted image at the bottom, then turned off by itself. Did software update, to no avail of the line problem, and got a boot loop after some minutes of watching TV. This boot loop will turn on the backlights for some seconds the sound comes on, the image will turn dark very fast and then it reboots again. Pressing power button will not put it on standby. Disconnecting...

HP Pro Mini 400 G9 - Led code 3/6 Processor does not support an enabled feature / disable AMT in dump?
                by kitor
                Hey,
I got HP Pro Mini 400 G9 waiting for a long time for a CPU. Bought I3-12100T which is on supported list just to receive code 3,6 which says "Processor does not support an enabled feature".
After research I found this is most likely due to all the management stuff being enabled in BIOS (it has vPRO essentials I5 sticker so that is very likely) where 12100T definitely does not support it.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any friend who would have and lend me their CPU to fix that... so the question is, can this be changed at bios dump level?
                I attached...

GE 7-4643A Clock radio - Is this a common pictogramme for 9-volt battery backup on appliances?
                by ClockChip
I came across this sticker recently:

(It's from a 1980s GE clock radio - the model number is at the bottom left.)

I worked out the top pictogramme (indicating a 12/24 hour facility) and bottom pictogramme (120v or 220v mains power) fairly quickly. But the middle pictogramme...ah. That one left me baffled for a time.

(I won't say how long, exactly, because it would be too embarrassing.)

Eventually, it dawned upon me that this was a pictogramme to indicate a 9-volt battery backup facility.

                My question is: has anyone...
