Re: Convert monitor ccfl to led
Going back to the problem I have with the image, lots of brightness and little contrast, do you think it could be a gamma problem? If so, how can I confirm it? What tests should I do?
ThanksLast edited by karmele; 11-15-2018, 11:03 AM.Comment

Re: Convert monitor ccfl to led
Based on the way the picture is show with straight shot:
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...2&d=1541722542
And with angle shot (picture is not faded)
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...4&d=1541722542
If the GAMMA Volatges are bad you will not see that kind of image on the screen like that when you look at in angle.
It's telling me that the sheets are not put back in correctly.Never stop learning

I just trust on your judgment and experience.
Latest news, the last time that I measured voltajes from the LCD panel connector, the 4 first pins measured 5V and now they are 2,58
What could it be? A short? Could be the connector the problem? And the screen looks white.
Thanks.Last edited by karmele; 11-15-2018, 01:38 PM.Comment

Re: Convert monitor ccfl to led
After looking at the angle shot of the screen again that is why I am still thinking that the sheets are not installed back in properly.
So now you are getting just white screen without any image any more?Never stop learning

And yes, I´m getting now white screen but, nothing related to the order of the sheets. It must be something different.
I believe because, as I told you on the last post, I checked out voltajes on the LCD panel and on the 3 first pins I get only 2,58 V. Before I got 5V.
I´m lost it is getting worse.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by ttmi100xGreetings everyone,
I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...
The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.
Upon closer inspection...6 Photos-

by momakaNormally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow.
But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...
