    excellent forum

    I just joined today- knew about it for a long time... Should've joined earlier, like when I got my ESR meter- why did I put it off? Anyway I can say thanks to all for the great info- just revived an old benq '731. A thorn in my side for a while now. Thanks to the schematics and info another one is saved from the dumpster. I'l try to be helpfull as I can and read more in here!

    Well, I started out with three of these monitors, all dead. I now have two of them working perfectly. The third became an organ donor. Said it before, excellent forum!

      That's pretty good. Now when you start out with 3 monitors and wind up with 4 working, you've really got something to brag about!!

        I've actually repaired about a dozen monitors in the last 3 months, but the benq had me a bit puzzled. (more than just typical capacitor issues). Thanks to the thoroughness of the posts on here, I was able to get schematics, and valuable lessons as to the operation of these particular boards.
