Burnt Component Identification on Samsung 940N

    Hello,

I opened Samsung 940N Monitor today. The power bord BN44-00123C have a blown component and nothing can be read from it. Blown component is the one at the bottom at the heat sink (image is from web, so on the image component is not blown). I checked service manual. Component in question is marked IC601 on the board. But in manuals I found it only at one schematics and there is no PN anywhere. It's on page 52/63 (chapter 13-7).

My knowledge is too limited to figure out what that component is and even less to get to the right part number. Except if I would buy another board for 25$, which I will not since that is old 19" monitor.

So I hope someone will help me.

I hope I did everything right in my first thread.

Can we actually see good pictures of that blown up IC even though you said nothing can be read from it?

After you asked me to post images I realized, that I should look for missing piece of IC. I found it. I don't understand why I didn't think about that ASAP.
How ever you told me exact PN.

May I ask how did you find out what IC it is? How were you able to tell me exact part number? As beginner I often have problems finding datashets even tho I have text on IC.

Perhaps it's so well ingrained in people reading here but I wonder who the target of this warning really for.

Samsung BN44-00262A H37F1-9SS power supply help finding blown value components!
              by cheeky2
This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...
