hello people, wondering if you could help me with this monitor (dell e173fpf) the monitor appears to be stuck in standby by ie the screen wont come on and the yellow led on, pressing the front buttons does nothing at all so i pulled the unit apart and fired it up again but with the same results. when i looked at the led on the power button board i found that both the green and yellow led was on together? im sure it should be just green for on and just yellow for standby? nothing looks burnt and caps look fine. any ideas? thanks gary

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -
by Big PookaHello all,
I just picked up a LG OLED65E6P off of Craigslist (it was practically free). It functions flawlessly in all aspects except it renders yellows as greens. It does so regardless if the source comes through an HDMI port, or streams in through onboard services such as Netflix.
I've factory reset all the color options, cleared the panel noise via the onboard option, and waisted half an hour talking to LG customer service.
Have any of your dealt with this situation?
I understand OLED's are susceptible to burn-in, and looking at the... -
by multimesutHello friends,
A yellow light was flashing on my monitor. It was like it was constantly cutting power. When I opened it up, I saw that the big capacitor in the high voltage line was leaking. I replaced it. When I turned it on for the first time, it had the same problem again. But then, interestingly, it got better. The yellow light was on steady. But the monitor wouldn't turn on. When I examined them with a thermal camera, I saw that the Fli5961-LF reached 50 degrees Celsius and the EM636165TS next to it reached 100 degrees Celsius and was drawing high current on the motherboard....1 Photo-

by RaulnnGood afternoon! I have this TV with a Chinese combo plate. The symptom is that you turn it on and the standby LED goes on for a while, alternating red and green. In the end it remains green, but without image and without backlighting. I have measured voltages and they are fine, even the TCON has its correct reference voltages. I think it must be a firmware problem. What do you think?

by master3112I would like to share my experience about charging issues with Dell power supplies with the tech community. I am working on a Dell Inspiron 5590, Mainboard 18778-1 with charging problems. The device can be switched on and works so far, only the message appears at startup:
Alert! The AC power adapter wattage and Type cannot be determined. The battery may not change. The System will adjust the performace to match the power available.
The power supply unit is not recognized in the Bios and the charging process is set to "idle". I use original Dell battery, type...-
