Re: Lg OLED rendering yellow as green, I could use your advice.
Diah, apologies for the delayed response to thank you for all your efforts, I have been traveling.
One quick question, your suggestion of "call with service remote E_Z ADJ" I'm not sure how to call the E_Z part, my remote has ADJ and when I select it the screen prompts for a pass which I suspect is 0413 but does: ADJ = E_Z ADJ in your suggestion?

Re: Lg OLED rendering yellow as green, I could use your advice.
Nothing worth doing is easy... ;-)
Short story is I'm getting nothing on the panel, and no standby light.

Recapping:

I am positive my jumpers are soldered to the right pins
I am reading 3.5v on the three pins jumped
Doing a continuity test when unplugged I am not shorted to any other pins
When I plug the TV in the only evidence it is plugged in is a quick little hard to hear one time click coming from the PSU
The cable from the PSU to the MB is unplugged at both ends
The...

Alright, just a quick check in with you, Daih before I plug this sucker back in :-)
I removed the PSU, flipped it over and soldered jumpers to the solder point pins:

Purple wires to pwr_on, drv-on, and 12VT-on
White wire to one of the 3.5v pins
Combined all 4 wires and soldered the joint
Ran a continuity test which toned on all 4 pins in the connector with jumpers soldered to the backside solder points. It also toned on the other two 3.5v pins indicated on the pinout chart which I did not...

Re: Lg OLED rendering yellow as green, I could use your advice.
Diah I very much appreciate your patience with me, and I really do apologize for not fully understanding your advice here.
Could you please answer the following:

Are the 3 jumps you have laid out supposed to run from 3.5v pin(s) on the PSU, to the designated pins (PWR-ON, DRV-ON, 12VT_ON) ALSO on the PBC, or to pins on the MB?
Is it example picture A
Or example picture B:

Re: Lg OLED rendering yellow as green, I could use your advice.
Hello Diah,
I apparently have missed something.
I unplugged the 2 LVDS:
I unplugged the PSU from the MB at the MB, and jumped 3.5 V to PWR_on, and to Drv-on. For reference I ran a continuity test and got tone for each jump.
When I plugged the TV in, the screen was blank/black/had no input, and the red standby light was not lit. I tried starting with both the remote and pressing the on button on the TV itself.

@Diah
Here are the boards in my LG OLED65E6P
Power:
T-Con:
Main: (how to I release the 4 black click in fasteners without damaging the underling PCB?)
I know I am asking a lot, but if you would be willing to give me clear directions specific to these boards on how to place the jumpers I would be very grateful!
Cheers,

@Diah, thanks as always for the replies.
My service remote came in and I followed what I believe are the correct steps to roll back the firmware.

Turned the TV on with the regular remote
Pressed IN_STOP with the service remote
Entered 0413 when prompted for a password (the TV went to standby once the passcode was entered)
Waited a minute or two then unplugged the TV from the wall jack
Waited about 5 minutes until the red standby light extinguished (I assume this was to wait for the capacitors...

Re: Need help with a Samsung UN60EH6003
Following up and closing this string. I ordered a power board off eBay, all in it was $40. Swapped the boards last night and so far the intermittent power on issue seems to have been corrected. I've power cycled it about 25 times over 24 hours and so far so good!
Thanks to all for the advice and help!
Cheers

Re: Lg OLED rendering yellow as green, I could use your advice.
Oh and also, the first two images I posted where from image files dropped into a .mp4 and played over Plex, I didn't realize the TV had the ability to read image files off a usb thumb drive. This is what the original yellow square .jpg images looks like when played off the thumb drive directly (i.e. not made into movie then streamed):

I'm not in an position to argue with the burn in diagnosis as I'm ignorant in this area. But for my education, burnin changes all yellow to green? I thought it was more of a ghosting image of whatever was left on the screen for too long.
In case it helps diagnose the issue, this is how the TV renders this link: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/img/colorbands.png
The yellow band is green, and the purple band is blue

Lg OLED rendering yellow as green, I could use your advice.
Hello all,
I just picked up a LG OLED65E6P off of Craigslist (it was practically free). It functions flawlessly in all aspects except it renders yellows as greens. It does so regardless if the source comes through an HDMI port, or streams in through onboard services such as Netflix.
I've factory reset all the color options, cleared the panel noise via the onboard option, and waisted half an hour talking to LG customer service.
Have any of your dealt with this situation?
I understand OLED's are susceptible to burn-in, and looking at the...

Thank you Diah and Lotas, your replies are much appreciated.
So one vote for a problem on the power board, and one vote indicating the power board is good...
Anyone else have any advice? I'm more than happy to take other readings if it will help, and if so, please indicated what I should test.
Cheers and thanks in advance for any insight you can assist me with.

Need help with a Samsung UN60EH6003
Hello All,
I'm a hobbyist at best, I've built a few radio kits (I'm a Ham), but other than that I'm a newbie at electronics.
A friend gave me a Samsung UN60EH6003 that works about 50% of the time. Specifically, it demonstrates the common Samsung dreaded dead screen and blinking standby light when you try to turn it on. To be more specific, 50% of the time when you press the power button it starts normally, 50% of the time when you press it the screen does not come on, there is no startup tune sounded, and the red standby light blinks slowly.
When it...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello All.
I'm Pete, live in Carmel, CA and am a hobbyist at best when it comes to electronics. I'm a HAM and have build a few little radios and other components, mostly from kits.
I get a kick out fixing things regardless if they are mechanical or electronic and I found your forum while researching a way to fix a LCD TV a friend gave me.
I'm looking forward to learning from you all.
Cheers,
Pete
