Dell 2007FPb intermittently turning off

Hi all,

I have a Dell 2007FPb that over the past several months intermittently turns off. It will turn on again immediately and last for a few seconds to a few hours before switching off again.

What does that sound like? Perhaps a voltage droop? I haven't pulled it apart yet as the monitor keeps working (mostly)!

Could be caps starting to go bad, usually on the power supply board or inverter board. But really, it could be a lot of things. Checking/replacing the caps is probably a good place to start though (if you're inclined to open it up and spend time working on it).
