    Samsung 2493HM Monitor Fuse

    Hi everyone.
I'm pretty new here. This site seemed to have the best community, so i joined here.
I recently received a monitor that I wanted to fix up. The 2493HM Samsung. There's been a lot of posts here, about the capacitors but when I opened up mine, the caps were nice and pretty. The monitor itself is has been lightly used, so I was wondering about a few things
-Previous issue: monitor LED flashing- Bought new caps(in transit right now) but after opening it up(and finding the caps looking fine) and putting it together it the LED stayed solid so I assumed it was the inverter board. I checked the board and found that the fuses were blown.
    TL;DR
Does anyone know where to find the fuses for this monitor and the process of replacing them? (i'll look around the forums for fuse replacing)

Are you talking about the white body fuse rated at 7A 125V or the black capacitor to the left of the fuse? Did you check the resistance of the fuse?
BTW, those yellow glue should be removed it is too late and causes damages.

So the white fuse is OK or not? And do you get 24VDC at both ends of the fuse (black meter probe on chassis) when monitor is turned on?

Hi thanks for waiting. I had some programming to do before i had time.
The fuses are ok, do you think it might be the transistors(mosfets). Im gonna use the post here to test them but from what the inverter board looks like, they look shorted out. Any chance I could replace them individually or should I just get a new inverter board?

If the fuse is not blown then the MOSFETs may be OK, but you might as well check the Source and Drain pins of the MOSFET to see if it shows low resistance or not.

Samsung UE46ES8000 Blown fuse but no other signs of short
              by jesterace
Hi I wonder if anyone might be able to steer me in the right direction. I have this Samsung UE46ES8000 TV and it went bang during use. The main fuse on the PSU board is open. I've checked every diode/mosfet/transistor I can see and nothing appears to be short to cause the fuse to go. The DC output of the bridge rectifier is not short either. I've seen online that some of these models are known for having their PFC mosfet or other mosfets shorting and blowing the fuse but i'm not seeing that here. If anyone aware of these models having any issues to cause this? I'm reluctant to just replace the...

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair
              by momaka
Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...
