My monitor seems to be having an issue. There is a black vertical line on the right side of the screen when turned on. Pictures will be provided. The problem does not lie with any of the cables as I have tried them with other monitors and the line does not appear on those. That leads me to believe there is an issue with the monitor itself. Need any professional help in diagnosing what the problem might be and if it can be repaired. Thanks in advance.

Re: lg 34um95 ultra wide monitor need help.
If you are lucky it is a failure of one of the cables inside the monitor which connects the panel to the main board.
Take the back off and post photos showing the insides so we can see how it's connected"Tantalum for the brave, Solid Aluminium for the wise, Wet Electrolytic for the adventurous"

Re: lg 34um95 ultra wide monitor need help.
Those 4 cables with red stickers on them are the data connections to the panel. You can try unplugging and plugging them back in in case there is a loose connection.
Can you get a better image of one of the connectors? I am not sure what type it is and some are tricky to do without breaking them.Last edited by Agent24; 10-24-2014, 04:49 PM."Tantalum for the brave, Solid Aluminium for the wise, Wet Electrolytic for the adventurous"

Alright I jumped ahead and unplugged each cable one by one and plugged them back in . Unfortunately the line still remains. Any other ideas?Comment

If it's the mainboard, it may be fixable, but I am not sure where to start looking. Someone else can hopefully provide some ideas or other tests you can try."Tantalum for the brave, Solid Aluminium for the wise, Wet Electrolytic for the adventurous"

by momakaNormally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow.
But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

by ant3202Hi Everyone
Lately I am experiencing the deja-vu incident on one of the led monitor like this.

The monitor is HP 27es LED Monitor

The monitor will randomly blackout and display no signal and will recover again.
Sometimes need to power and off again to restore the display but...-

by Rick_1234Good evening, gentlemen.
I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.
To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.

Things I tried
- Bought a new AC adapter thinking that was the problem but the problem...-
