    Monitor C1770NSL horizontal problem

    Dear Badcaps staff,
this Hp MX70 crt monitor has the chassis Lite-On C1770NSL. In this video you can see the problem.

    Here's the schematich.

There are 53V at pin 2 of Flyback Transformer (FBT) when the monitor is off.
There are pulses up to 250V at pin 2 of FBT when the monitor is on. In this situation there is no voltage coming out from pin 4 of FBT.

Transistor and diode are not shorted or opened.
There are 4 N-ch mosfets, all ok.
I've checked with an LCR meter some polyester capacitor near the FBT, they are good.

    The voltages 80V, 59V, 11.6V and 7V are ok.
    There are horizontal drive pulses.
The one coming from pin 8 of IC401 TDA4841 is not stable in amplitude, but don't know if this is the cause or an effect.
The other two pulses coming from pin 15 and 29 are stable (TDA4841).
All the electrolytic capacitor have been tested.
The entire board and crt board have been resolded.

I think I'll do the lamp test removing the 424 resistor (base of Q402) and connecting the lamp to C and E.
because I'm too lazy to remove Q402 again.

    Can't find the solution.
    Thank you for reading.
Feel free to suggest some test to do.

    Re: Monitor C1770NSL horizontal problem

X-ray protection is on that's why TDA4841 floats Hdrive (pin8)
then all deflection circuit stop working.

This chassis randomly switch from the problem you can see in the video
and the X-ray protection = black screen.

Lamp test was useless because there was no feedback from flyback so no deflection.

    Still no chance to solve.

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair

Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34" - Horizontal lines
      by Kikerumbo
      Hello everyone,

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I have a Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34". A few weeks ago it started to show (or not showing) horizontal lines. Of course, it's outside of the warranty period.

After some hours of reading and watching videos I disassembled the monitor and checked the ribbons that go from the TCON board to the panel PCB. If I disconnect the ribbon for the right side of the panel, the other half shows a perfect image. I ordered a "new" TCON, installed it and the issue persists so that tells me it must...

      AOC AG493UCX 49-inch monitor - Firmware request
      by wattage
      Hello Badcaps Community,

I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.

The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...

      Hi Everyone

Lately I am experiencing the deja-vu incident on one of the led monitor like this.

The monitor is HP 27es LED Monitor

The monitor will randomly blackout and display no signal and will recover again.
Sometimes need to power and off again to restore the display but...

LG 23MP55HQ LED Monitor turns off after a few seconds or flickers.
      by Rick_1234
      Good evening, gentlemen.

I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.

To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.
