LG 50PC1R V lines

Hello,
this is an approximation of what you can see in a 2009 Plasma 50" LG.

In a light blu or green or similar color picture there are those pink/violet vertical lines.
They mantain the position if a picture with similar color appear.

They tend to fade or go away in a black or dark grey (maybe in fully white if I remember right) picture.

Btw they are not that large. They ALL are 1pixel width and some are very close each other. Some are single and far from the other.

Found bad elcos...

• Re: Sony Trinitron recap -stay tuned-

System is now operative but I need the manual because it need G2 adjustment.
Never done on Trinitron so I need to read before destroying all the work done till now.

The chassis needed FULL RESOLD, the vertical boards needed PARTIAL RESOLD,
the CRT pcb needed FULL RESOLD, the small PCB that link chassis to speaker needed FULL RESOLD.

So: a lot of Sn-Pb (100-150g), a lot of caps, 4*4 square cm routes destroyed by acid (nichicon PL = bye bye copper )

If it is NOT YOUR TV, don't do it!...

• Re: Sony Trinitron recap -stay tuned-

Exactly, a lot of caps!

I'll do the chassis only, not the vertical boards.
And to be honest, I'll leave the big original elco at the primary.
All others will be new.

That sound crazy but it's for a friend.

Two nichicon PL have eaten 4 square centimeter of copper!

I told my friend: "You're silly! To reduce a pcb in that condition they must been leaking and smoking since a couple of month! What you're waiting for?

-stay tuned- elcos will arrive...

Are you interested in a Trinitron Sony 21" chassis AE1B that is going to be full recapped?

First thing I did: search the datasheet: nothing found for
IDE/SATA
D0F
B75K80041

LDO regulators:
AMS 1117
3.3 H440PE

AMS 1117
1.8 H446PE

Thanks for the page, got details even if I don't know Russian.

The MB receive 3.3V and I don't know if it has 1.8V regulator in it.

• Re: Evo 3.0 UPS by Tecnoware

Sorry I came back only today to read the post.

Exactly: the surge blew the rectifier, then opened the fuse in the rectifier board,
then the batteries were too old to start the UPS again.

UPS working everyday since 09-12-2014 it is happy with the new small rectifier, fuse and batteries.

• Re: Pata/Sata converter anyone?

It's the adapter:

I checked continuity from every single IDE pin to the respective via and got continuity, so the problem is the continuity from the via to the the chip or the chip itself.

The chip has too thin pins and I can't use my probe because of their large size.

Thank you really much ESPECIALLY fzabkar and Per Hansson.

I am not a computer expert and this is the first time I found this problem.

Tomorrow during spare time I'll try the HD on a SATA motherboard,
if name is ok I'll test both the adapter and HD in a IDE motherboard
to see if in BIOS the name is wrong again.Re: Pata/Sata converter anyone?

Quite similar to ChaosLegionnaire.
Bought and adapter quite similar to the one in post #1 and there are problems.
Bought a different hd, different from the one in post #1.

Sorry for posting elsewhere but I need much more people to read about this problem.

Thank you c_hegge, can you post a pic of yours so I can buy the one that look closer?

There will be OS and data in the SATA hd, and it will be the only hd in the system.

• Pata/Sata converter anyone?

Hello,
I want to use the ST500LM012 SEAGATE [SATA II HD 2.5" 5400RPM] in a old PC with PATA cable.
So I need this converter from PATA to SATA II.

But there are no report in the entire web that say: Yes, I've done it, it works.

Can you please tell me as much as you know about this kind of conversion.

Some info of my pc.

I don't have the SATA HD, not even the converter....

8 new batteries solve the problem.

• Re: Monitor C1770NSL horizontal problem

X-ray protection is on that's why TDA4841 floats Hdrive (pin8)
then all deflection circuit stop working.

This chassis randomly switch from the problem you can see in the video
and the X-ray protection = black screen.

Lamp test was useless because there was no feedback from flyback so no deflection.

Still no chance to solve.

Yes thread is about ESR meter but let me clarify: posts 9, 15, 16, 17, 18
are OT because we were speaking about dc resistance test of a capacitor, with an analogue meter.

Some days ago I tested 3 Yageo SEK 47uF 250V with the Wayne Kerr 4225 LCR meter and here are the results:
Capacitance Dissipation factor Res@100Hz Res@10KHz
45.85 uF 0.0485 1.685 ohm 0.888 ohm
46.96 uF 0.0495 1.677 ohm 0.899 ohm
39.90 uF 0.0575 2.293 ohm 0.981 ohm
...

• Re: Testing a mosfet with DMM and an ebay smart component tester/ esr meter

Sony procedure to test MOSFET (see attachment).

But do not trust the value: you'll not read 400 ohms to 1kohm.
That's a generic value for some old power mosfet.
I have some BUZ90 and IRFS630 and they give me 1500 Mohm and higher value.
Sometimes the BUZ90 required second or minutes to dissipate the charge applied between G ans S so if I test'em between D and S it gives me infinite resistance. ...
