Hi !
i have an aoc u2879vf which died 3 days ago.
I legt the pc it worked fine , came back to a mostly purple screen with flickerings all over, i unplugged the dp cable ,back in ,was the same .
I unplugged the mains , plugged it in from that on no power .
Dissasembled the display found no shorts whatso ever , the power on button works , tested it with a multimeter, and there are voltages present not all around the board but fairly everywhere.
Since i did not found any info from this monitor on the internet i thought i give it a try here , if anyone has a tip or an ide please let me know , this monitor costs more then when i bought it 7 years ago ….
thank you very much!

But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
