so they cant be touch the metal casing ?

Its pretty tight in their I dont know if any are.

It's always best to be away from other metals.
C2 seems to be the highest and My concern is that the top cover may push the cap down onto the transformer pins because of the way it is sitting right above the pins. One of the others is almost touching transformer pins too
What you can do on the ones that are almost touching pins is squirt some silicone caulk under the cap

It seems the monitor has developed an intermitant power on and off issue.
It will work fine for 10 minutes and then switch off.. or it will work fine for 10 seconds and then switch off.

The power switches off completley.. eg the power button has no light.

Ideas?

Shall I replace the caps again?
if so which ones please "35ZLH100MEFC6.3X11" I can only find stock of these at farnell..
any other sources apart from ebay, or compatible caps.

I wouldnt have thought it was the same issue - caps are available at RS Direct in Leeds
if you can get there.
I would open it up and check your soldering , check all connectors, does it switch back on straight away? with the back off try using a fan to cool it.
Many of these big acers were prone to lamp/ lamp connector problems can you here any clicking or electrical arcing sound when it goes off?
Google AL2416 badcaps and see what comes up.

Hi,
You have to wait like 5 seconds and it switches back on. It comes back on for a few seconds and back off after then it will not switch back on. You have to wait for a minutes or something.. It doesnt seem to be running hot.

Yesterday it ran fine for 4 hours then started having the issue
One other thing I have noticed when it switches back off, it seems to power back on again automatically. This can take 5 seconds or 1 minutes but when it does this the power light has gone off completley.

No electrical sounds or clicking any type of arching noise, screen is solid white, doesnt flicker.

I will check RS directs website
any other ideas? I have tried to search

Might be a heat related problem. Since your monitor can run up to 4 hrs before shutdown occurs, try heating up your boards with a a hair dryer to see if you can accelerate the shutdown process. Try heating up the main board first.
