Got only the board, found rotten input capacitor with blown primary side (found bad transistor, rectifier, MOX resistor and fuse). Replaced all of it (FQPF7N80C for 2SK3264, 0R36 resistor for 0R22), with bulb in series the bulb shines like hell and I got almost no voltage on input cap. I got very low resistance over C206 which seems to be filtering VCC for LD7575. The diode there tested fine alone so either bad transformer, or LD7575? Or may it be something else?

Re: Proview blown primary
The SMPS IC 201 may be damaged when the MOSFET blown up, it drive output may stuck HIGH so the MOSFET is not switching on and off like it should. You can try check the resistance of the IC between the ground pin against all the pin, and VCC pin against all the pin.Never stop learning

Re: Proview blown primary
The VCC to Out (Gate drive) seems low to me, I expect it to be in K Ohm range. You can lift the drive pin off the board. and see if the lamp will still light up bright and stay on bright.Attached FilesNever stop learning

Re: Proview blown primary
I removed the LD7575, somewhat damaged the paths but it is not shorted now so it was it. I also found practically the same problem with same board from different display, there was also the driver bad.
Schematic here http://www.ebastlirna.cz/modules/For...isplej_135.jpg
Will probably try to get it from eBay and somehow fix the bloody mess I did there with 150W transformer ironWell, can always connect tiny wires to the legs instead of the burned paths

Re: Proview blown primary
I always replace the IC along with the MOSFET when the MOSFET is damaged, you are lucky since you have the lamp connected to protect it from blowing up the new MOSFET.Never stop learning

by repair-itI replaced the bulb only on my Toshiba DLP The bulb is a TB-25. This is the first time I've done a bulb only replacement. Supposedly there is a timer module that needs to be re-calibrated or reset. I don't know where the module is located. I see some vendors selling the bulb with the housing stating module included which leads me to think the module is located inside the enclosure the bulb mounts in, but I didn't see it. Maybe it's inside the plug attached to the bulb?
Anyway - I am seeking information on how to reset this so called module so that the lamp will operate. Apparently... -
by ezeniaHi,
I have a LUMIMAN Smart Bulb that suddenly stopped lighting one day. The bulb is still detected in the app, but won't light. I've probed around and nothing seems to look off with any of the diodes, caps or resistors. The Bluetooth/Wi-Fi module seems to be working as it's still detected in the app. I even tried deleting and re-pairing the bulb (it didn't light, but I was still able to follow the pairing instructions), it re-paired fine, but still no light.
In diode mode, the LEDs all light up when probed so I'm guessing this means the LEDs themselves are OK. I was expecting... -
by momakaDeer diary,
I have an Allied AL-D500EXP (SL-8500BTX) PSU with a blown fuse (T8AL), blown primary BJTs (pair of 2SC3320), and a blown 12V output rectifier (SBL4060P). What happened? – Idunno. But I suspect the PSU was loaded with more than it could handle. Given its built quality, which I made a detailed post about here (with pictures), this power supply is probably closer to being capable of no more than 300-350 Watts max. The system it was powering, IIRC, was an older and more power-hungry Intel i5 CPU bundled with a Radeon R9 290/X GPU, so the PSU was likely running right...

by cmlewis89Hi folks,
I'm new to this forum. So my trusty 17-year-old LG 47" LCD recently died. As I was booting it up, I heard a hum followed by a loud bang, sounds of pieces flying around, and loss of power to the unit. Inspecting the PSU, I saw two obvious problems: a blown thermistor (bang + flung pieces) and a visibly bulging main cap. Inspecting as many components as I could with my Fluke MM, I diagnosed that the following components on the "hot side" of the board were also bad: one of the 2 main MOSFETs, main 8A fuse, small cap (25V 47uF) connected to main caps, and a blown...12 Photos -
Hi,
Finally replaced all of the shorted 4148's and resistors and an blown tl431 on my FSP300-60GTF after 5VSB going crazy and destroying it self. Those components also made the secondary transistors appear shorted (while in reality they weren't).
Powered it on through my dim bulb tester and they (bulbs) only flash once meaning primary caps are getting charged, but that's it. No 5VSB, PS_ON voltages.
I am sure I have replaced the components correctly and that there weren't any shorted/blown traces left.
Any ideas where to go next? - Loading...
