I have a Hannspree HF 257 HPB monitor. Can't adjust contrast or Brightness, screen just on very bright and washed out.

the picture on my philips monitor looks way too bright so that black appears grey and colors also seem too bright.
While i tried to tilt the screen a little bit while it was displaying a picture, i´ve noticed, that there appeared some purple pixels. In the following picture
you can see them on the top half of the photo.
At a certain point during the tilting, the picture looked normal again but as soon as i laid it back down, the purple pixels were gone and the picture was bright again.

Hello everyone. I soldered the speakers according to the circuit diagram on the AN5277 sound amplifier microcircuit. Everything works fine (I only added a ferrite ring to remove the sound transmission interference)
But I can't adjust the sound (there is no variable resistor or something similar for this in the circuit....Please tell me how I can adjust the sound? What needs to be added to the circuit?

I am getting these 70 inch Samsungs daily. Dead set light comes on goes off, dark screen. Tried taping the problem lvds cable pins 13 to ? pin, used about 9 mm scotch tape. Picture comes on, no distortion lines, looks good, but 1/2 of screen is washed out. Problem seems to always be the last little strip on the bottom. Has anyone found what is actually the problem? Possibly one of three diodes there? I have a pic but it is washed out on 1/2. Anyony had success in fully restoring the picture? Thanks.07-03-2024, 05:03 PM -
There are a few bright spots on the screen. I checked on youtube and most probably they are caused by the led lens fell off and can be fix by gluing back the lens.
But one of the bright spots is actually a bright ring (circled in red as shown on the attached photo). That means a bright spot with a dark center. What is the cause of that bright ring and how to fix it?... -

I have a new Asus Zenbook S16, Model UM5606. Unfortunately, the keyboard backlight is too bright, even on the lowest setting. I have explored several ways now:
- kindly ask Asus for an adjustment - they basically told me to STFU and get lost
It is not possible, they say. Of course.
- tint the keycaps from behind - I have already tried that - it is kind of a last resort
- try to find out, how it is done, look at schematics - this is, where we are at.
- maybe get the BIOS modified somehow? This would be the best option but I do not know a lot about...02-24-2025, 02:03 AM
