Hannspree HF257 HP
I have a Hannspree HF 257 HPB monitor. Can't adjust contrast or Brightness, screen just on very bright and washed out. -

Bought it used on E-bay $63.00. Ordered before I did all those tests. Thought if it was turning on by self board bad. -

Received the replacement Main Board, Installed works great. Now what do i do with old one ??

No I only checked 24 volts at Inverter board. Only have one inverter board. Will have to take apart and do photo.
But still have issue as you don't turn on TV, goes abler to white once plugged in to wall outlet and you can't turn of except to unplug.Leave a comment:

The power supply looks to be working as I have the 5volts, 12 & 24 volts po on is 3.4. As the tv when plugged in goes from orange to white by is self, I think is a main board problem. I think the main board controls the turn on for Backlights as the 24 volts are present at J1 pin 1 of inverter pcb.Leave a comment:

I have a VO42L when you plug in the AC plug Vizio on front goes Orange then turns White. Can not turn off, no sound or Picture. Have checked PS have 12v and 24v and have 3.4 volts for turn on. No Back lights. Have looked at caps on all boards none look bad. No burns chips. Could main board be bad, as it looks like it controls on/off and sound. Have 5v & 12v to Main board fuses. -

Ok I got replacement Caps for 3300uf 10v, as suggested. When I was putting power supply back in I found on LVDS or Logic main (board just below PS) cable number on PS is CN8006 (10 pin connector) cable that is at bottom and middle of PS (near D5V & D3V3 check points) I must have pulled it out when I remover PS the First time I replaced Caps, cable was taped to panel didn't see it loose.

I also checked all voltages on PS (VS,VA,VE,VSET,VSCAN,VG,D5VL,D3V3) all good (This was with the three jumpers as listed above) I think it is in SSB or DC-DC converter section.

I did this check from Philips Plasma repair . Checks V4 Power supply
1. Check Input Voltage Range of the defect
occurrence area is between 100V AC ~ 240V AC
2. Insert Jumper at J8003, J8004 BJ8902
3. Insert Power (AC) at CN8001
4. Check if the LED turn on or not as sequence.
(LED8001→LED8002→BD8903)
5. If all the LEDs (LED8001, LED8002, BD8903)
are ON, the PSU is not defective.
6. If one of the LEDs (LED8001, LED8002,
BD8903) is OFF, the PSU is defective....Leave a comment:
