May I ask what kind of failure on this transformer? Picture and model number of this power supply? FSPXXXX?

When I tested the transformers by touching 1-8 & 4-5 with Red/Black on my DMM (200k setting) all but one registered as a 0.9, or a 1.0.

This was pins 4-5 on the middle transformer (#4 from top or bottom)
        It registered a 5.9, or 6.0
Pin 1-8 on the same transformer read a normal 1.0

ALL caps seem ok. TV has 2 seconds to black problem (more like 0.5 seconds to black)

Those are normal reading when you test with an Ohm meter, they will have very low resistance. To the switching circuits, the impedance of the transformer will be high due to high frequency switching AC applied to the transformer windings.

Unknown transformer : how to find a good replacement part ?
            by the_rem
            Hello guys,

I would like a quite old but still good 800 W ATX PSU to be repaired. The problem was an extremely heavy coil whine coming from the small secondary transfomer on the PCB.

I desoldered it hoping the references on the upper side would allow me to find a adequate replacement part. Sadly the written references drove me nowhere but to the manufacturer (I-MAG). I sent them a message like a bottle in the see asking them to send me a datasheet of the transformer. And... They responded ! I received a kind of datasheet (see attachment) but my competencies do not allow...

Transformer replacement for a dead coffee machine
            by double_DD
            Hi guys,

I have a dead coffee machine, and it seems that the culprit (no 1, at least) is a dead trafo - primary coil seems to be blown open (type shown on the picture below).

Now, I'm unable to find direct replacement anywhere on ebay or aliexpress, and all similar that I' was able to find are rated too low (<1A).

If someone knows a shop to buy replacement (EU/CH), that would of course be my 1st option.
            My other ideas:
            - to buy 220/20Vac trafo with 30VA, and to "manually" create secondary 12V output just via resistor
            - to buy...

Sony STR-DE697 - Bad Transformer. Replacement? Unknown Value!
            by JDC
Got a Sony STR-DE697 with a bad power transformer (1-435-281-11). This will be my second receiver with a bad transformer; the first I was able to find a direct replacement off ebay. With this one, nothing has been found except for an old ebay listing for the sub board itself.

Tried to find a service manual to determine the transformer's specs but to no avail. Tried similar models with the same model transformer but no go.

            So....

            1) How does one determine a transformer's specs (input, output) if there is no information about it available? Are there...

            Original Xbox 1.0 PSU: Foxlink FTPS-0002 Rev. B. — 12 V low, 5 V high — transformer?
            by ohren
            Hello!

I'm looking at an original Xbox PSU: Foxlink ftps-0002 rev. B. The 12 V output is too low, and the 5 V output is too (?) high. Unfortunately I don't have an oscilloscope but only a DMM for diagnosis.

            Measured voltages with no load:

            After rectifier diodes
            12V: 6.17 V
            5V: 5.67 V

Secondary transformer pins AC measurement (really don't know if this says anything)
            12V: 2-2.5 V
            5V: 1.04 V

I also have another (working) Xbox psu from Delta. The same measures there, in order, being: 10.79,...

Is it possible for transformer substitution?
            by mikey5791
            Hi all,
Got this local made DC power supply (12/14V) given free as the transformer has melted. There is no marking or indication to identify what type or rating of transformer used.
Fyi,. I had a busted autogate mainboard with transformer with marking 13-0-13 . Is this the 13v dc type transformer?
            My questions are
            1. How do i test to see if the transformer is in good working condition?
            2. Can this transformer (marking 13-0-13) be used to replace the melted transformer on the DC power supply?
Hope you guys understand what i was asking. My intention is...
