    Dell E172fpb

I have this monitor and when i turn it on, the pic comes on for a second then goes off. The light stays green and does NOT flash. If i put a flashlight up to the monitor i can see the image. Is there any easy fix?

I have seen the 7 page thread but is it just saying to buy a new board? if so where can i get one?

Thanks, well from what they said from that thread was that every time they replaces the bad parts on it, the monitor broke again. All i found was to buy a new inverter board.

I did find a repair kit on ebay for this and people seem to like the kit. Should I just try that as it is only 15 bucks?

I have the same monitor with the same problem. The green light stays on and the screen only displays an image for a second. When you shine a flashlight on the screen, you can see an image. Is this a problem with the backlight or the inverter/power board? I'm a newbie, so any help would be appreciated. By the way, what fix did you find on ebay, Guod?
