HP 2509m monitor power light is off

I have an HP 2509m monitor for about 2 years. Last week I noticed some subtle flickering, but the flicking did not come back this week. However, last night it suddenly turned to completely back when it was on without any other symptom. The power light was off also. I checked the wall outlet and the power cable, they were both fine. What could be the cause of the problem? It looked like it was connected to the electric power even though it was.

I want to try to disassemble it and figure out the problem, but it is very difficult to take it apart. Can any one help on this also? Thanks.

We can often help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back (in the same orientation) and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.
