    BenQ FP91V successfull repair

Starting this thread only because I haven't found a word about this 4ms VESA compatible panel. D-Sub/DVI, integrated reproductors, only disadvantage these days is low resolution (1280x1024).

It has quite a large power board with even two data boards (will hopefully post photos later, gonna sleep now). Only problem were bloated Elite caps. Swapped 470uF/16V for just 6,3V ones (there is 5 V measured), on the other hand 1500 uF, and 35V 470uF ones for 1000 uF/25 V (over 15 V, rather used bigger headroom than just with 16 V).

Before it got image, but just gray screen with flickering, now it displays no input window. Full recap including small caps after I will have some sleep…

Lenovo Flex 5 14ITL05 - will only sleep if commanded to through start menu>power icon
    by survivalbloke
This laptop refuses to sleep unless specifically commanded to sleep through Windows. If I close the lid, the screen does go dark just before the lid is closed, so it appears the hall sensor works. However, it will sit there, drawing 1.xx amps until the battery dies. If I command it to sleep, it drops down to normal sleeping current. If I have it sleeping with lid closed and I disconnect the power adapter, it will wake from sleep, even with the lid closed. I have updated the firmware, but still the fault persists. I've also verified power settings in Windows that the device is to sleep when the...

Satellite r945-p440 - Hard crash coming out of sleep
    by cappernicus
    Toshiba Satellite r945-p440
    Motherboard: FAM2SY2 A3256A
I do not have a schematic or board file

I usually let it go to sleep every time I use it because it is nearly always plugged in, with occasional shutdowns to reset things. Then it started to hard crash every time it tried to come out of sleep. The lights would come on for half a second but before anything shows on the screen they would all shut off and it would boot up as if I had shut it down completely (except that windows knows it didn't), and when it comes back on the fan ramps up to full and stays there perpetually...

A1286 with 820-3330 sleep wake failure in efi, battery drains fast
    by colos85
    Hi,

Let me share you a story that could be useful - not just with this model mentioned.

    Symptoms:
    - Battery drains fast, 20-25% a day while sleeping.
    - As soon as it runs flat Mac turns off, like normal.
    - When hooked on charger starts twice (two chimes), then boots normally, but a message appears in the OS "Sleep wake failure in EFI..." The exact message already lost, but many things can cause this as I saw, so wont point out the source of the problem.

So I changed in pmset the standbydelays to 100, and hibernatemode...

Benq Zowie XL2540K / Power board failure / 6Pin-SOP-Chip identification
    by seppde
    Hello everyone,
I've got a Benq power board of a XL2540K monitor which suffered from a power cut and is since defective / won't turn on. It's got obvious defects, some blown resistors, some burning around the drain pin of a MOSFET...
... and some 6-pin IC I struggle identifying, that is driving said MOSFET.
The IC is labeled as IC601, so someone with a circuit schematic could probably identify it really quick, unfortunately I can't find the schematics.
In other power boards of Benq for which I did find the schematics, IC601 is an 8-pin NCP1200 PWM controller - I suppose...
