i picked this item up locally for free. when i first plugged in to see whats happening, the blue power light blinked on and off continuously and no display no image dead! took item apart and found 3 bulged caps. 3 x 820uf/25 volt replaced with spares i had 3 x 1000uf / 25 volt. item back together now blue power light powers on stays on NO back light. i can see image with flash light. there is no 2 seconds to dark when powered on no back light activity. directions??

Your photo's a little blurry, but try checking the fuse, PF301? It's the green fuse between the heatsink and the inverter transformer on the left side of your photo.

I am comparing them to a brand new one that I installed
The display came back on and the programming was not lost which I was surprised by I would have thought that when the display went blank that so did the memory as well

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

I need some help with this one please. I am attempting a repair on the backlight. TV turns on and flashes the LG logo so stripped it down and found one faulty LED. Replaced it and tested on an LED tester and the strip was good. Put it back onto the PSU and it lasted about 20 seconds before going out again. Same LED had blown. Changed it for another type of SMD one (same voltage) and it seemed fine. Put the TV back together but it was quite dim. Noticed it was in power save mode so turned it off and the screen was bright. Left it on for half an hour only to come back to the... - Loading...
