    1. Please do not post pictures inline. Instead, use 'Manage Attachments' - below the test entry area.

    2. You have 'Two seconds to black'. Retiredcaps tells how to troubleshoot it in this thread.

What tests have you performed? Did you check the resistances of the transformer secondaries? Substitute known good CCFLs?

The same problem was due to a monitor. The problem as described above. Capacitors for the other elements are also clean clean. But the image disappears after 5 seconds.

The problem described is referred to as "2 seconds to black." Troubleshoot as 2 seconds to black. Various causes possible: bad caps, shorted transistors, open fuses, bad transformer, bad ccfl (bulb or wiring), etc.

PlainBill was asking what tests in that thread you had performed and what, if any, were the results.

FYI, capacitors can fail without any visible signs.

HKC-LCDMT19C moment in my hand monitor. Two flat-panel display monitor controller has the Realtek.

And so far the problem of 2 seconds for the first time I saw this on two monitors.

Had written in some forums that this problem caused by high current.

Guide me through repairing a Dell p2210f LCD ccfl backlight monitor
                by DanPoka
I bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...

                by Dobrowol
Hi. I have a problem with Asus ROG GA402RK. The keyboard suddenly stopped working along with the kb backlight. I replaced the keyboard and the ITE KBC chip and the problem is still the same. I don't see any passive elements that look damaged. Does anyone have an idea?

                LG 24MP56HQ-P Monitor Backlight problem?
                by tmhobadcap
I have a few successful experience in fixing tv backlight problem. But for monitor, I have no experience. However, I think they are more or less the same. Am I correct?

Recently, I got the captioned monitor and the owner said it could not be turned on. I open it up and found that one of the SMT capacitors seemed to be bad. I replaced it as well as the other one. The monitor still could not be turned on.

I found the power indicator is on. When I shine a flashlight on the screen, I can see the image. Therefore, I think it is with backlight problem. I took out the led strip....

Backlight problem - Asus M3200WU, board Gapal LA-L291p
                by Honziq
                Hello,

I have this All-in-one PC, after SSD change there is no picture. I was found out it is a backlight problem, but LEDs are OK. There is 4 led strings each working on 42,4V, but from board is comming only 5V.

I was repaired many backlights before but this design i will not understand.

For me it looks like it is waiting for some signal from screen to start up the backlight or something like this. Nothing seems to be damaged or shorted here.

Can someone explain me please what to do, what to check?

                Thanks....
