Re: NEC PlasmaSync 50XP10
I mention that mainly for the fact that this is a plasma screen versus an LCD. The plasma issues that I have seen for troubleshooting have been in the TVs and Video Sources.

Maybe an admin can move this to or you should post this in the section titled Troubleshooting TVs and Video Sources. You are asking for help in the Troubleshooting Computer Displays forum.

Re: f2105 monitor has ccfl i want to change to led help
You can get the ccfl's, you just need to get the measurements of them (length and diameter). I usually order mine through the following link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/250474949765?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D250474949765%26_rdc%3D1
Replacing all six would probably be cost prohibitive as they would be $53 with shipping.
As to changing to LED, I'll leave that question to the others.Re: f2105 monitor has ccfl i want to change to

Re: HP 2509M Monitor - no display
I have used the following e-Bay auction and in the payment, put the information that they request and list the actual LENGTH and DIAMETER of the ccfl that you want to replace (3.0mm x 570mm). I usually order 2, just in case I break one (I haven't yet) because the shipping for the second one is free. $13 for 1 ccfl and $21 for 2.

I thought I had you covered in my box of scrap parts, but
Three that I found have the following part number:
80GL19T-8-V 1
TPV 0618
Two that I found have the following part number:

Re: DCLLCD DCL7A - quick flash of the back lights only
I replaced Q11 & Q12 and was able to get from just a flash of light to basically 2 seconds to black. The lights would stay on for varying lengths of time and there was a distinct arcing sound with the original ccfls and known good ccfls.
I removed both transformers and found the secondary winding of transformer 1 to be non conductive. I'm not sure if this occurred during the removal process or not since all 4 ccfls were working when the monitor was exhibiting the 2 seconds to black. It's probably not worth the...

Q9:

Q10:

I double checked the readings, they appear to be correct ( I did however have them labeled in reverse - Transformer 1 is actually Transformer 2 and Transformer 2 is actually Transformer 1)
The part number on the transformer is EPC-19
I have a couple of other monitors to work on...

Re: DCLLCD DCL7A - quick flash of the back lights only
I've used that document more times than I can countand I thank you for your work on that.
The datasheet can be seen here:
pins 1, 2, 3 are designated as S
pin 4 is designated as G
pins 5, 6, 7, 8 are designated as D
I've never checked one with more than 3 pins and this one is not designated with S1, G1, D1, S2, G2, D2, etc....

I don't see a label for Q9 or Q10, but if they are the ones below Q8, they don't appear to be shorted.

DCLLCD DCL7A - quick flash of the back lights only
I have a DCLLCD DCL7A that when turned on shows a very (and I mean VERY) quick flash of the back lights and then goes to a black screen. I have read several threads on badcaps.net concerning the LM004 Rev:3 inverter board. I have replaced all of the electrolytic caps with Panasonic FM / FR and have even swapped out the big capacitor with one of equal value. I have resoldered the pins on the two transformers and also the grey block capacitors near the transformers (one of the legs of one of the capacitors had a cracked joint).
I have measured the transistors as follows:

Re: Backlight wont come on at all
digikey.com has no minimum order and they have an option for shipping by USPS first class mail. It's usually about $2.50 shipping and it only takes about 2 - 3 days.
Most users on this site will recommend replacing ALL of the electrolytics on the board. With three of them bad, the others are more than likely on their way since they are probably the same brand, series, and age and have been subjected to the same conditions. The difference in replacing 3 of them versus replacing all of them is usually about $2 - $4....Last edited by jayoung; 03-16-2012, 08:15 AM.

Re: Benq Q7T4 / FP71G+
Sounds like 2 seconds to black - issues include bad capacitors, shorted transistors, bad ccfl's, bad wiring to the ccfl's, etc. The following post is a guide to troubleshooting 2 seconds to black written by retiredcaps.

Congratulations! Now you have an idea what it's going to be like to possibly replace the ccfl on the packard bell....

Re: Dell 2005FPW with Two Seconds to Black
That is a transformer that drives the high voltage for the ccfl's (bulbs). It is one cause of 2 seconds to black along with many others. The following link is a guide to troubleshooting 2 seconds to black written by retiredcaps. Other issue include bad caps, bad ccfl's and / or wiring to the ccfl's, shorted transistors, etc.

Re: Packard Bell Viseo 200 WS
Here is the link to the ccflwarehouse.com e-Bay item that I have used several times. They do ship to the UK - it's $8 for the bulb and $12.95 for shipping. Additional bulbs are still $8 and no additional shipping. You basically use the buy-it-now for the number that you want and then put the dimensions of the bulb in the notes of the payment (diameter and length). They have instructions on how to measure the bulbs on the ccflwarehouse.com website.
