I have seen a Post/s which refers to the wrong values of caps being fitted to some boards ! I think it was in one or more Dell posts, and if my 'getting very old ' mind remembers was ref the values 2.2uF and 22uF Can anyone shed some light on where I can find it ?? many thanks in advance.

PlainBillFor a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

Apparently, Lumberjack777 first discovered it on a Dell 1704FPT (same supply for 1905FP). Starting at post #52:

by KobokDear Alls,
For sure it id a stupid question, but help me to understand. I am in a Dell 2007WFP revitalizing project - searching reason why not starting. Some resistors needed to replaced is is obvious. When I have soldered some resistors the measured (with multimeter) values were sometimes rather different written on them. I supposed these are wrong units so I desoldered and made a checking measurement and voilรก the values is the same is written on. This happens only in case of a few resistors, most have the same values (+/- 10%) are written on it. "strange" SMD resistors =>103... -
by proxneoDear reader
I am performing a repair on a Sony ICF-SW55, which includes recapping (some) of the SMD capacitors on the mainboard. I am looking for verification of their values. At the moment, I'm 95% sure I've got the right values, but it is hard to find some official, credible or multiple independant sources on this.
At the moment, I have selected replacements based on the following list of values:
3 x 470uF 10VDC
3 x 4.7uF 35VDC
4 x 47uF 50VDC
8 x 22uF 6.3 VDC
1 x 220uF 6.3VDC
5 x 100uF 6.3VDC
Which...-

by cap__"If I wanted to replace an old 15uF/400V capacitor with a new one,
I have a new 15uF/400V and a new 22uF/400V capacitor. When measured, the new 15uF reads only 13uF, and the 22uF reads only 20uF. Can I use the 22uF capacitor?"-

by Acerman123Trying to fix this board, MSI K7T Pro2.
All Tayeh capacitors showed either as damaged or with uf values which were faf from what they should be so I have replaced them and all other capacitors except those big ones near CPU.
The motherboard powers on but doesn't post. My PCI bios code reader will most of the time dsplay some some kind of code if there has been no power to board for a while but I don't think those codes mean anything in this situation. If I power off the board and try powering it on the second time the code reader usually doesn't show anythin. Unplug... - Loading...
