    Resistor Replacement

I am working on a HannStar JC199D and have found (1) 1/8watt 10k ohm resistor that is bad. I don't have any 1/8 watt's in stock so off to RS land. If I can't find this resistor can I use a 1/4 watt in its place? I am not sure of the rules for replacing resistors. This resistor was at the lead end of the 100uf 400v cap which by the way was also bad.

    Re: Resistor Replacement

Yup a 1/4W resistor should be fine if not better than the one installed.

Thanks, here's hoping this is the end of the replacements.
