lg 1718s scrambled - looks like an old tv

Power board looks good, all voltages okay

Sorry for the horrible picture quality, will update soon

But in the mean time, has anyone seen had such a problem? what should I be looking for?

    thanks

I'd check the voltages out of the power supply, and the LDO regulators on the signal card.

Samsung QE55Q7CAM scrambled picture / squares
      by Bloopeta
Quick question please, not much info or pics to go on unfortunately as its not my TV, and I dont have it infront of me, but was wondering if anyone has come across this before, and what the problem possibly could be?

      Samsung QE55Q7CAM

Owner states after the tv has been on standby for a long period of time, when switched on, it displays scrambled/blocked image as pictured.

If one connect cable is disconnected and reconnected or power turned off at the main socket it will work fine with no problems until its been left on standby again for a long time.

      Westinghouse WD48UW4490 Scrambled Video
      by neilc6
This TV has scrambled video on all sources including apps but the on screen display is unaffected. I assumed a bad main board, got a replacement but still have the same issue. It's a 4K panel but has a second board between the main and tcon, a FRC (Frame Rate Control) board. Not familiar with this setup. Can the FRC cause the scrambled video? Animated gif attached (click to animate). Also stock photo of the FRC board....

TV Samsung UE55HU8500L (2014) – service menu + firmware reflashing advice needed
      by Robby-Gr
      Hi all,

I’m trying to recover a Samsung UE55HU8500L (curved UHD, 4K model from 2014) after replacing the panel. The new panel is a 55A1UU8EH, which produces excellent image quality — very close to the original.

However, since the swap, the TV enters a boot loop (Samsung logo → restart) unless I enter the service menu and perform a reset.

The service mode had been previously modified — possibly by a technician or during the panel swap — and I suspect some key settings are mismatched for the European (Greece) market.

      Additional issues:...

Vertical Lines on Half of LCD Display
      by rfxcasey
I have an Siemens HMI with vertical lines on half of the screen. These lines aren't scrambled garbage but rather very regular in pattern and color. I have replaced the LCD with a new one and still the problem persists. I'm wondering if this isn't indicative of a bad video process chip or video memory? Any help would be appreciated. The cable appears to be OK but one pin on the header is unpopulated, though there isn't any loose wire to suggest one broke off or popped out of the connector. In the picture below where the connector is busted out of the side, I did that with my small screw driver...
