Envision 985e 19" CRT Flat Screen

I have a Envision 985e 19" CRT flat screen monitor that just stopped working. It has power (the power light comes on) but no display not even the menu. Wondering if this is even worth trying to fix or should I toss it I have no experience with CRT's.

Well my opinion my be biased since I'm a CRT-head (wait, is there such a thing?... okay I guess there is now ), but I think you should fix it.

What noises does it make? Does it try to start up? Do you hear degauss coil when you cycle power from the power button?
I'd say open it up and look for burned components. Maybe post pictures too. A schematic may also help.
I'll wait for other people to chime in since I don't have that much experience with CRT repairs either (only fixed 2, but both were simple PSU issues).

Don't worry about the high voltages - the HV rails don't have enough current to kill when the monitor is off. With a bit of caution, you should be pretty safe.
