OK, you have got 'Two seconds to black'. You've established the transformers are likely good; that eliminates one of the probable causes.

Have you tried substituting known good CCFLs? Or hooking up a known good panel?

You stated you replaced a number of capacitors. What brand and series did you use as replacements?

Well without a cct diagram, its impossible to help, as who knows what D803,D805 etc are,and where they are in the cct, have you got a schematic ?? and if so put it on here, and then hopefully you will get some guidance.

    I have 14,85v at d803; 5,08v at d805;
I have 14,85v at u502; 6,89v at u501 but in this case variable to 0v-6,89v continuosly.
    I have changed 5 caps; 2 of 1000uF, 2 of 470uF and 1 680uF.

hi! i'm new here. i have the same model as this and got the same issue. two ccfls on top are busted. it's hard to get a replacement from where i am.

is there any way i could run this lcd with only 2 bottom ccfls?

i saw an article online about bypassing the feedback.

    http://www.bestelectronicarticles.co...ht-system.html

can this be done so i can run it with busted ccfls? if yes, how? i can't find the datasheet of the inverter ic.

btw, i already removed the busted ccfls, replaced the ecaps and reflowed some bad solder.

    thanks in advance!

Finally, opened up the panel to reach the CCFL lamps. Replaced the top dual lamp with a new one. Now working great !!! The toughest is to keep dust and fingerprint away from the panel layers, opening and assembly is quite easy.

On the old dual lamp, found that the fault could to due to the browning and rather bad corrision of the wiring near the ends of the lamps, likely from the years of usage at high voltage.

FYI, I believe if I replaced the wiring in the old lamps, they could be re-used. So for those who have difficulty finding replacement lamp, they could try out this method first.

Once again thanks all for the valuable advice !!!

In the UK at one time,no doubt you could have taken it to a TV repair shop, and they may have helped, but now those shops are few and far between, due to the rubbish from the Far East we now get, little technical info in some cases, and difficulty with spares, which is why we are becoming a 'throw away' nation, and no doubt other countries are also going or already gone that way.
For one thing this Acer 193w is still looking good even now with just 3 ccfl working. So on one hand don't want to ruin a nice working lcd due to my inexperience in replacing the lamp. On the other hand, just want to fix this one completely.

Obviously, they will cost more than the "bare" ccfl.

Everything started after modifying BIOS settings to boot UEFI instead of Legacy.
Laptop works fine, i installed windows 10 and drivers/updates, everything works ok(when it works)
The black screen problem is random, maybe 5 out 10 times, laptop remains with the black screen, no image

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
    by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

[Question] Acer nitro 5 image on HDMI without screen
    by DeXXter
Hello, I was offered an acer nitro 5 motherboard (i5 10300h + gtx 1650) and I have this little question, is it possible to just connect this motherboard through hdmi and have picture and access the bios without the drivers and windows? because I don't have the display for this one.
I had an old acer with ryzen 2500u without display that was able to access the bios using hdmi only, but with this intel model I don't know. So it would be appreciated if someone knows if this is possible.
    Thanks!
