    Viewsonic 2025

    Hello,
Years ago I damaged my beautiful IPS monitor using Powerstrip program. It (I) "burned" a white vertical stripe on the left side of the screen. It only shows up on bright colors and not at all on dark. The brighter the color the worse it is. It looks like a high frequency vertical oscilloscope scan with a white line down the middle and linear bands with sharp peaks close together about 1 inch wide on each side.
Have not disassembled the monitor yet but looking for advice first as it may not be a cap though the "AC" looking line suggests maybe the problem.
    Thoughts?

    Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
    by TrueSword88
    Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

    Hoping to fix...

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
    by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...

Samsung UE58TU7100K - no picture, vertical line
    by mrsith
    Hi.

Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.

This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.

Disconnected the tape (main board side). Applied a small piece of tape, covering first ~4-5 pins. Powered the TV on - got picture. In negative, but that's...

I have a G810 monitor i've had for years but it has developed a problem with vertical collapse. Is there anybody here who has worked on these and can help me find where the circuit even is for the vertical deflection?
