Hello,
Years ago I damaged my beautiful IPS monitor using Powerstrip program. It (I) "burned" a white vertical stripe on the left side of the screen. It only shows up on bright colors and not at all on dark. The brighter the color the worse it is. It looks like a high frequency vertical oscilloscope scan with a white line down the middle and linear bands with sharp peaks close together about 1 inch wide on each side.
Have not disassembled the monitor yet but looking for advice first as it may not be a cap though the "AC" looking line suggests maybe the problem....

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 225BW
Caps are inexpensive. If you can afford it order twice as many as you need just in case. I picked up some extra Lithium batteries for motherboards too for my older computers.

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 225BW
Hi, There are 2 (at least) different boards. Mine has 3 x 330uf caps and no 680s.
