Help for LG L226WA-BN and FX5200 Recapping

    Hi,

This my very first thread and i do not have experience dealing with diagnostics and recapping yet. If you can help me with my problem I will appreciate. I have a this 22" monitor since January 2007 and and it was connected to an non-over-clocked FX5200 agp video card from DVI until this summer. I had off screen once in a while and then suddenly screen started to not to work. I have kept it a side started to use a 14"....

I have opened the LG PGU (2300KPG070A-F(LC) PLLM-M602A) recently and found out that it was using Samxon GF(m) Caps. I am planing to recap all Samxons with Panasonic FMs from a local supplier though I am worried about some stained parts.

Also recently when I have tried a new screen 15" it started to have the same diagnosis, I have found out that my fx5200 has to be recapped as well.

However my worry is with the screen circuit board, on the other side there are some stained parts. Can some one give advice about what to do?.. Since in both lcd and video cards capacitors are bad, are there any more damage on the cards you think?

    Thanks!

    Samxon GF series are problematic.

That could be flux left over from the manufacturing process. You can clean that with cotton swabs and alcohol I believe.

On your second photo underneath the plastic sheet. What is that large black spot next to C410? Did something short out?

Those are usually just a foam sticky pad to hold the plastic covering inverter pins ,murder to clean off if you have to take off the plastic to solder

That sort of staining is not uncommon, and does not usually signify any problem. As suggested, some alcohol, on a short bristled brush, will probably remove it.

Thomas,The Inverter side would probably be on the other heatsink.Apart from the part arrowed, which unfortunately I cannot help you with,it looks as though you need to replace the Electrolytics as well !!

I can give the following numbers I have the same plate capacitors and find not a diagram where they are.

C202, C203, C204, C205, C206 since switched to an LG monitor and not if you have right now are the right and one exploded.

                Thanks in advance.

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.

                  Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

Vizio TV M50-C1 reboot cycle and static on screen
                  by spice_disc
I'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.

The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...

Trouble to identify part (Lunii screen) for replacement
                  by FreakyMex
Hello guys. I'm a complete noob in electronics. I'd like to repair my child Lunii's (a "story box"), basically an audio player that allows the childs to choose between several options the places, characters, objects of the story, and then play a story according to the choice of the child. There is a screen that display the selected option before each choice. The Lunii fell and the screen is now broken.
I'd like to repair it (probably just have to change the part, because the lunii still works perfectly fine) but I can't manage to identify the part/order it online. Do you have any...

Dell G3 15 3500 - Battery bug (black screen and flashing keyboard backlight)
                  by HTR-Informatique
                  Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                  by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...
