This might sound like a silly question but,
On a ccfl tube or bulb there is a hot wire and a return wire. On my observation the hot wire is usually a bigger wire {smaller gauge} than the return wire; sometimes they may be the same gauge.
If the gauge of the wire is the same the wire that’s pink or blue will be hooked up to the hot side .
There have been questions ask “I didn’t mark the position of the ccfl wires when I unhooked them from the inverter what should l I do?”Well I haven’t seen a monitor that has different length ccfl tubes, the connectors are polarized so it shouldn’t make a difference, the larger wire is going to be hooked the hot side of the connector, And the smaller wire to the return side.
Silly part,
I f a used ccfl is used to replace a defective one, And the original polarity is not kept the same, where the wires are soldered to the ccfl bulb, do the gasses or electrons are whatever is inside the used ccfl, really care if they are moving right to left or left to right[develop any type of memory?]
Well after thinking and rereading my question I am thinking it would not make a difference, if there is any similarity between a ccfl bulb and a florescent light bulb that is used in a house, the florescent bulb will work any way it’s installed in the fixture.
I am talking about how the wires are solderd to the ccfl not at the conector.
Or is the inverter circuitry more sensitive that it could make a difference?
