Came up with P/N T491A226J006AT for the original unit. Sounds right: http://www.mouser.com/Passive-Compon...=A226J&FS=True

Just not available. :s Looking for alternatives.

After a long vacation (sorta), I've installed the parts. Bam, working perfectly for the last two days! Thanks for your help all!

If either of those are missing, it's most likely a problem with the power supply, disconnect the logic card to be sure (turn off power before disconnecting it!!!).

I've got a problem with my screen going blank after a few seconds - backlight just shutting off, seems like. I went to take measurements but don't understand the bolded part here - you can't get power to the power supply card without the logic card being plugged in.

There are three bulging caps (of 8) on the power card so I suspect this is my problem, but the voltages are ~12.3, ~5.15, and ~5.15 (both before and after the [what I assume is the] backlight cuts out). If the caps were the problem, wouldn't these voltages not be correct? Or could the logic board be cutting the load when there's a voltage drop?

I should also note that there's a slight hissing that lasts for 1-3 seconds whenever I turn the monitor on - anyone know what this could be from? Nothing smells especially odd.

To any one else reading this thread for info, I got the same values as in post 3, though the regulator brands/model numbers are different.

(Apologies if it is in bad form to revive this thread with a tangential question ... is there no edit button for new members?)

You have to replace at the bulging caps first before going further, otherwise you will be chasing your tail. The hissing sound may becoming from bad solder connections at the end of the lamp.

I see some Samxon GF Series on the power board - a series known to go bad.

                  by Verlengsnoer
                  Hi all,

at firs, i hope this is the right place to post my question.

Im looking for a tool to change the bios logo.

everyone knows when you turn on your laptop/pc you will see the manufacturer logo like lenovo, hp, dell...

i know that HP has a build in option to change the splash logo.

but i want to change the manufacturer logo to an own logo.

I try'd Change Logo 5.0, but when i make a backup of an laptop and edit the logo and flash the editted version back on the laptop the logo diddnt change.

Repair of an LG split AC system indoor unit PCB
                  by ngml
I am trying to repair an LG split AC indoor unit, which does not start and gives a CH05 error code.
This indicates an error in the communication between the outdoor and the indoor unit.
The outdoor unit is fine, so the problem is the indoor PCB.
The indoor unit is an LG PC09SQ NSJ (3SNM09JA2FA), and the PCB has the following type number: EAX35907219-1.2 (see photo1)
I changed optocouplers ICO1X & ICO2X and the NPN transistor S9013 which drives optocoupler ICO2X (see photo2), but this did not remedy the fault.

Does anybody have the schematics of this board,...

                  Cyberpower cps1500avr not charging batteries
                  by carrzkiss
                  Hello, all.

                  Cyberpower Battery Backup Unit.

I bought two new ML18-12 batteries through Amazon (They have already refunded my money for the two batteries as we thought the batteries might have been bad.)
When I got them in, they were not fully charged. I connected them to the UPS and waited 24 hours before connecting any networking equipment.
In parallel, they read 24v, but within 24 hours, the meter on the front of the unit dropped from 4 to 3 bars on the battery charge indicator.
Checking the voltage, it was down to 22v.
                  I quickly removed everything...

Bose Companion 5 - Unit Powers On then Cuts Off Shortly After
                  by nobbnobb1
                  Hi guys,

Trying to salvage a Bose Companion 5 computer speaker system that powers off shortly after powering on. It's got a primary USB input (built in DAC) and an aux 3.5mm input. The USB appears to be the primarily source that tells the unit to power on (control pod LED goes green) as the unit has no power switch.

When I first connect power to the unit, plug in the USB, it will play audio nicely for a minute before it drops out and the unit appears to go into standby (control pod LED goes red). It stays in standby and I cannot seem to power it back on without physically...
