    Soyo DYLM1996 19" wide LCD
The problem I am having is this monitor will not power on, no lights no flicker, nothing. During disassembly to test control panel switch I found that it will power on if the data cable (for lack of proper term) from the main board to the LCD panel iis disconnected. while disconnected the power light will come on green, lcd will light then 3-4 seconds later, panel will dimm, and light will go to yellow. push power button again and power will go off. this cycle is repeatable.
if the data cable is reattached, there is no reaction froom pushing the power button.
the only visible crowning (?) of 1 cap (pc16) on the power supply board there is no visible damage to other caps on the power supply board nor the control board.
does anyone have any expirience with this, or possibly shed som light on this for me?
    Thanks in advance

Post pictures of your board so we can see your setup.

    1) Post clear focused pictures AFTER reading

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1868

    2) Please do not post pictures inline as they slow down the loading of pages.

    3) For best picture quality and clarity take your boards to a window on a sunny day, turn flash off, and use macro mode. Take a top down view of all your boards (front and back). Make sure the photo is legible so that we can read the PCB printing clearly. A shutter speed of 1/125 or faster will produce nice clear focused pictures. Try to get a photo that is 2000x2000 resolution or as close as possible.

    4) Here is an example of the pictures we want.

    5) I have a "like" problem in the same URL in #4.

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.
