    Rubycon yxg replacements in VP930B?

Normally I'd order something around the MBZ series, but I had some YXG's on hand here in the correct value for the ones that were bad in these monitors (5 of them!)

Is this going to cause any problems down the road? They're replaced and done for now, but if I hear enough negative feedback here I'll consider replacing them again.

Also, for now, just replacing the two caps in each monitor that were bad (in all 5). I imagine I'll have to do more down the road, but at this point, since all belong to me for in-house use, it's not a big deal.

    Any feedback is appreciated.

Sorry about typo in thread title, I meant YXG.

The Rubycon YXG series meets the minimum when it comes to the rubycon low-esr series of caps. The MBZ series or Panasonic FM FC series would have been a much better choice. I personally would have changed ALL the caps at the same time. Since you have additional Capxons in each monitor, it's probably a good chance you'll see problems in the near future. If you wait until a problem occurs, then you can change them all then. However, waiting for a problem will also increase the chances of those Capxons damaging other components.

Where does YXA fit in here? I don't see that on the list HERE either. I'm looking at replacing the rest of them in these power supplies before they fail - depending on price.

What are the chances of getting fake Rubycon's from this guy? I'd think that with 4500+ all positive feedback that he's legit, but I wouldn't be surprised either way.

eBay? Yes. Hong Kong? Yes. Great Feedback? Yes. ....Thoughts?

If you search this forum for egekecu, you will find some positive feedback and that he doesn't sell fakes.

YXA are high temperature but only general purpose.

By the way, what's the deal with SAMXON caps? They're in the store here, but not mentioned in the list of capacitors in this forum.

How do they compare between, say, Rubycon and Capxon? For general monitor power supply use would they be recommended? Motherboards?
