Aiwa MX-Z95M Audio output stuck at TAPE input

    Hi! Guys,

I recently have a problem with my Vintage Aiwa Hi-Fi system, that consists several components, namely the amplifier with built-in graphic equalizer, CD player, cassette deck and tuner.

I recently noticed that the audio output from the amplifier (Aiwa MX-Z95M) only works when the input is switched to "TAPE". Switching to other inputs resulted in no audio, even though the CD player or tuner is running. Strangely enough, I also noticed that if I change the input from TAPE to CD (or other) inputs, while cassette is still playing, the audio output remains on TAPE even though the amplifier already displays "CD" (or other selected input).

    What could be the problem?
Is there a fix to it?
    Kindly advise.
    Thanks.

Magnum IA.100 Amplifier Switches on, No Output, Possible Input Side fault?
      by flibidy
I have here a Magnum IA.100 which belongs to my parents.

The unit powers on & when the relay kicks in, you get a pop from the speakers (this might sound weird but is usual behavior for this amp). However, you get nothing coming through it from any of the inputs & no pops and crackls from any of the controls.

Because of the sound from the speaker when the amp turns on I have assumed that the output section probably works but I could be wrong & I'm not sure how to test that side of things further.

Aiwa Tape Deck Right Output Low
      by Carm99
      Hi
I have an Aiwa AD-6900 mkII that I just replaced a couple of belts on.
I haven't used it for a couple of years due to not doing the belts but when
I put a tape in and play it ,I'm only getting output on the left channel but the VU's are the same.
Rather ,Im getting output on the right ,but it's really really low.
Anyone know what could be wrong with it?
      Cheers

A1312 (27” iMac 2009-2011) A1407 (Thunderbolt Display) A1316 (Cinema Display) Display Black Screen Repair

      Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Reading input and output of bridge rectifier on the same scope?
      by EasyGoing1
I have a 40 volt AC transformer that I put a bridge rectifier on, and I wanted to see the input signal and the output signal on the same screen on my scope, so I set one channel up with the test lead on one side of the input and the ground lead on the other side of the input, then I used another channel on the scope and clipped the test lead on the positive side of the output then the ground on the negative side of the output.

When I connected the transformer to power, the wire that was connected between the ground lead on the second channel and the negative side of the bridge rectifier...

820-02020 Super Weird Issue: Keyboard Input Character Map "Wrong"?
      by ugamazing
So, I have a really bizarre issue that I'm struggling to identify the cause of. Working on an 820-02020 board with some bizarre keyboard/input-source character mapping. My suspicion is a possible damaged SPI ROM (U1970), perhaps, but I'm really not sure in this case:

      1. The issue is pretty weird, but when installing MacOS, I noticed my WiFi password did not work. I quickly realized the special characters (!@#$%^& etc) were not mapping correctly.

      2. I noticed the keyboard layout/input-source is defaulting to JAPANESE every single time I restore the board. I am not...
